Full Job Description
The location in Fort Mill, (South Carolina, United States), is seeking talent to fill the position of Human Resources Business Partner. This job is full-time permanent.

Overview: As an HR Business Partner, you'll act as a trusted advisor to senior leaders, helping shape a high-performing and engaged organization within our Commercial Operations team of over 300 employees. In this role, you'll influence key initiatives across workforce planning, organizational design, employee engagement, and change management, while partnering closely with leaders and HR colleagues to bring business strategies to life. You'll play a hands-on role in driving people-focused solutions, leading HR projects, and ensuring alignment with Domtar's values and overall business direction.

Your Challenges:
  • Act as a trusted advisor to leaders, providing guidance on talent management, performance, leadership development, and employee relations.
  • Partner with HR teams and Centers of Expertise (e.g., Talent Acquisition, Compensation, Benefits) to deliver aligned programs and initiatives.
  • Support and participate in full-cycle recruitment to ensure hiring needs are effectively met.
  • Implement key talent processes such as succession planning, early career programs, and leadership development.
  • Lead and support change initiatives through coaching, communication, and training of managers and employees.
  • Advise leaders on employee relations matters to foster engagement, team effectiveness, and a positive work environment.
  • Support the employee lifecycle including onboarding, development, and offboarding (exit interviews).
  • Leverage HR systems and data insights to inform decisions and identify trends.
  • Collaborate with HR colleagues across locations to ensure consistency and alignment in policies and practices.
  • Contribute to HR projects, initiatives, and communications that drive organizational effectiveness.


Your Skills:
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Excellent facilitation skills, ability to prepare clear and concise materials to deliver formal presentations.
  • Ability to build relationships and influence others.
  • Strong analytical and critical thinking, creative problem solving, judgment, and negotiation skills.
  • Successful project management experience.
  • Strong working knowledge of current human resources compliance, laws, practices and techniques, and proven ability to apply them in the workplace.
  • Ability to work effectively both independently, collaboratively, and cross-functionally with internal and external stakeholders.


Your Profile:

  • 5+ years' experience in an HR Business Partner role or talent management/organizational development experience.
  • Master's Degree or PHR/SPHR Certification Preferred.
  • Knowledge of SuccessFactors or experience with HRIS tools is needed.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word).
  • HR generalist or business partner experience in a manufacturing environment is preferred.
