Full Job Description
About this role:

At Atria, we are recruiting for a Human Resources Business Partner to serve as the dedicated People partner for one or more of our locations. This is an opportunity to be the trusted, on-the-ground HR presence for employees and managers - owning employee relations, coaching, and day-to-day partnering while helping build the culture and performance standards that define the Atria experience. Depending on business need, this role may provide coverage across multiple locations.

This is a hands-on role for someone who thrives as the go-to HR presence in a fast-paced, high-service clinical environment. If you are exceptional at what you do and would love the opportunity to make a massive positive impact with a well-capitalized organization that aims to change the world, we would love to explore this opportunity with you.

What you'll do:

Employee relations & manager support
  • Act as the first-line HR partner for employees and managers at your designated location, providing coaching on performance conversations, corrective action, documentation, and escalation
  • Manage employee relations issues with appropriate discretion: intake, investigation support, recommendations, and follow-through in partnership with People leadership and, where needed, counsel
  • Support leave management coordination, accommodations workflows, and return-to-work transitions in line with state requirements
  • Support recruiting efforts as needed, including but not limited to job postings, candidate sourcing and screening, interview coordination, and offer management, in partnership with the Talent Acquisition team
  • Partner with recruiters and hiring managers to ensure smooth, consistent candidate and new-hire experience

Onboarding & employee experience:
  • Partner with the People team to ensure a smooth, consistent onboarding experience for every new hire at your location
  • Serve as a visible, accessible resource for employee questions, elevating appropriately when necessary
  • Support site-level engagement initiatives (pulse checks, listening sessions, recognition, retention actions) and help leaders sustain a high-performance culture

Compliance & operations:
  • Provide HR coverage across multiple locations as business needs require, ensuring consistent partnering and employee experience wherever assigned
  • Ensure compliance with core state and local employment requirements (policies, postings, required trainings, recordkeeping) and support audit-ready documentation
  • Maintain accurate employee records and HRIS data integrity for your location(s)
  • Partner with the relevant stakeholders and departments on multi-state and entity-specific requirements
  • Remain current on all applicable state, federal, and local employment laws and regulations

Who you are:

You are committed to excellence, high standards, and collegiality. You bring sound judgment, discretion, and strong interpersonal skills, and you are trusted with confidential matters. You roll up your sleeves to get great work done and are energized by being the reliable, human point of contact for the people you support.

Compensation: $105,000 - $157,000

(Range under review pending validation against Atria comp bands; final offer commensurate with experience and location.)

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree required; Master's degree preferred
  • Minimum of 5 years of Human Resources experience, preferably in professional services, healthcare, or another high-service environment; startup experience a plus
  • Demonstrated experience as a front-line HR partner handling employee relations and manager coaching
  • Working knowledge of state employment practices (wage/hour basics, leaves, required trainings, ER documentation)
  • Strong abilities in compliance, discretion, judgment, building trust, and confidentiality
  • Organized and detail-oriented, with the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously
  • Comfortable being onsite and visible as the "go-to" HR presence for your location

Preferred:
  • Experience partnering with clinical leaders and regulated environments
  • HRIS experience (Rippling or any major platform) and comfort producing basic people metrics

Benefits

At Atria, we are proud to offer every full-time member of the Atria team:
  • Excellent health and wellness benefits, fully covered by Atria, effective date of hire
  • OneMedical membership for employees & dependents, giving access to 24/7 virtual care
  • Fertility & family planning
  • Company-covered preventive health screenings through partner hospitals (calcium score)
  • Fitness Perks, including Wellhub +
  • 401k contributions and 4% match starting after 6 months
