About the Job

As a Human Resources Business Partner at AWG, you will play a critical role in enhancing and aligning our human resources strategy with business objectives. This position will be responsible for providing strategic HR support to management and employees, fostering positive employee relations, administering benefits and compensation programs, and supporting recruitment, performance management, and employee development efforts. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in HR practices, with a proven track record of partnering with leadership to drive organizational success.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Serve as a trusted advisor to managers and employees regarding employee relations issues, conflict resolution, and policy interpretation.
  • Address employee concerns in a timely, professional, and confidential manner, ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures.
  • Promote positive employee engagement and work culture through proactive communication and initiatives.
  • Assist managers with performance reviews, goal setting, and ongoing feedback for employees.
  • Work closely with hiring managers to ensure smooth onboarding and integration of new employees into the company culture.
  • Coordinate and facilitate employee training programs to enhance skills and promote career development.
  • Assist with the administration of compensation programs, ensuring internal equity and external competitiveness.
  • Oversee the administration of employee benefits programs, including health insurance, retirement plans, and wellness initiatives.
  • Manage the Open Enrollment process, ensuring all employees have the necessary information and support to make informed decisions
  • Provide backup support for the VOE process, ensuring accurate and timely verification of employment for current and past employees.
  • Track key HR metrics, including turnover rates, performance metrics, and recruiting effectiveness, and share findings with management.
  • Interpret and communicate company policies and procedures to employees and management.


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field (or equivalent work experience).
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in a Human Resources role, with at least 2 years in a Business Partner capacity.
  • Strong knowledge of HR best practices, employee relations, performance management, and compliance.
  • Experience in benefits administration and Open Enrollment processes.
  • Solid understanding of compensation structures and performance management.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively at all levels of the organization.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Proficient in HRIS and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
  • Knowledge of federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations.


Preferred Skills:

  • HR certification (e.g., SHRM-CP, PHR) preferred.
  • Experience with recruiting and talent acquisition platforms.
  • Experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment is a plus.
