Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or diploma in Occupational Health and Safety or a related field.
• Safety designation is required.
• 7 years of experience in a health and safety role within a related industry, with 2 years in a supervisory capacity as an asset.
• Strong knowledge of OH&S and environmental legislation, as well as HSE processes.
• Proven conflict resolution and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent verbal, written communication, and presentation skills.
• Ability to build and maintain effective stakeholder relationships.
• Strong understanding of construction processes and terminology.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and adaptable to new technology.

Responsibilities

• Implement and support project HSE plans and regulatory requirements.
• Identify, evaluate, and develop project-specific HSE training.
• Execute district HSE communication strategies on projects.
• Lead inspections and monitor safety plans for quality and effectiveness.
• Work with project teams to address systemic safety issues with recommendations.
• Develop and assess the efficiency of emergency response and environmental plans.
• Monitor and audit trade partner HSE performance.
