Full Job Description
Work Location: Johnstown, Ontario

Work Schedule: Monday to Friday (day shift)

Position Summary:

We are looking for an experienced Health, Safety & Environmental Supervisor to help lead and strengthen our safety culture in a manufacturing environment. In this hands-on leadership role, you will partner closely with Operations, Engineering, Maintenance, and site leadership to reduce risk, support compliance, and drive continuous improvement across the facility.

What You'll Do:

  • Lead and develop a small team of HSE Coordinators while providing day-to-day safety and environmental support to the site.
  • Partner with Operations and site leaders to implement HSE programs, training, risk reduction initiatives, and behavior-based safety practices.
  • Conduct risk assessments, incident investigations, job safety analyses, and corrective action follow-up.
  • Support equipment reviews, machine guarding assessments, and process changes in collaboration with Engineering and Maintenance.
  • Ensure compliance with applicable OSHA, environmental, and regulatory requirements.


Environmental Leadership:

  • Manage key environmental programs, including air permitting, SWPPP compliance, waste management, and sustainability reporting.
  • Work with external consultants and regulatory agencies to maintain compliance and support continuous improvement.


What We're Looking For:

  • 3+ years of HSE experience in a manufacturing environment; experience leading or mentoring HSE team members is preferred.
  • Degree in Occupational Safety, Engineering, Environmental, Manufacturing, or a related field preferred; equivalent experience will be considered.
  • Strong knowledge of OSHA and environmental regulations; familiarity with NFPA, NIOSH, ANSI, NEC, TCEQ, EPA, or DOT is an asset.
