Position Summary

The HRIS Manager is responsible for the strategic management, optimization, and governance of the firm's Human Resources Information Systems and HR data. This role ensures the integrity, security, and effectiveness of HR systems while enabling data-driven decision-making across the firm. Reporting directly to the HR Director, the HRIS Manager leads HR system administration and analytics, supports compliance and audit readiness, and partners closely with HR leadership and Finance. In this highly visible role, the HRIS Manager translates business and workforce needs into scalable system solutions, allowing COEs to remain focused on people-centric work while ensuring accurate, consistent, and reliable HR data.

Essential Functions

  • Own the overall HRIS strategy, roadmap, and day-to-day system governance (UKG and related platforms)
  • Ensure accurate system configuration, workflows, security roles, and integrations
  • Lead system enhancements, upgrades, testing, and change management initiatives
  • Partner with vendors and internal stakeholders to optimize system performance
  • Ensure HR data integrity, audit readiness, and compliance with employment, payroll, and benefits regulations
  • Establish and enforce HRIS data standards, controls, and documentation
  • Support internal and external audits, reporting requirements, and regulatory reviews
  • Oversee workforce analytics, dashboards, and executive reporting
  • Provide insights related to headcount, turnover, attrition, DEI, compensation, and benefits trends
  • Translate leadership needs into actionable data and predictive analysis
  • Ensure consistency and accuracy across all HR reporting outputs
  • Prioritize workloads, coach team members, and ensure timely delivery of system and analytics support
  • Serve as the escalation point for system issues impacting HR service delivery

Requirements

  • 8+ years of progressive HRIS experience, including system ownership and analytics
  • 3+ years management experience
  • Prior experience in a law firm or professional services environment preferred
  • Deep knowledge of HRIS platforms (UKG strongly preferred)
  • Strong understanding of HR, payroll, benefits, and compensation processes
  • Proven ability to analyze and interpret complex HR data
  • High attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy
  • Strong project management and stakeholder communication skills
  • Ability to manage confidential and sensitive information with discretion
