Under the supervision of the Chief Administrative Officer, provide administrative and analytical support for human resources and business operations within the UC Davis Genome Center and its research support cores. Serve as a unit resource for academic and staff personnel matters, providing support, guidance, policy interpretation, and coordination with hiring managers, principal investigators, employees, and campus service units.
Provide operations support with an emphasis on procurement and purchasing activities, documentation, and coordination with campus procurement and supply chain offices. Assist account management team with cost adjustments. Research and resolve routine administrative issues, maintain accurate records, and help ensure personnel and business transactions comply with applicable University policies and procedures.

- Skills to function independently and creatively to research, analyze and coordinate a variety of administrative projects with general guidance and review by supervisory personnel.

Department OverviewThe UC Davis Genome Center in the College of Biological Sciences, coordinates interdisciplinary research in the areas of genomics, metabolomics, and proteomics, and is involved in the training of graduate students and postdoctoral scholars. Annual funding is approximately $31 million from multiple sources. The Genome Center consists of 16 resident faculty and 28 non-resident faculty with appointments in various departments across the university. The population of the Genome Center and Cores averages approximately 250 faculty, staff, students, professional researchers, visiting faculty, and postdoctoral scholars.
