Job Description

As an HR Manager supporting R&D, you will serve as the primary HR partner for the Buffalo R&D site while also partnering with leaders and teams across the broader R&D organization.

You will partner with R&D leadership to translate business priorities into effective people, talent, and organizational strategies. This role will also support the Buffalo union-represented workforce in partnership with Labor Relations and provide leadership across employee relations, talent, performance, and organizational matters.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the HR Business Partner for the Buffalo R&D site and designated R&D leaders and teams beyond Buffalo.
  • Partner with R&D leadership on talent, workforce planning, organizational effectiveness, and people strategies aligned with business priorities.
  • Coach and advise leaders on employee relations, performance management, talent development, employee engagement, and organizational matters.
  • Support the Buffalo union-represented workforce, partnering closely with Labor Relations and site leadership on employee and labor matters.
  • Lead and support talent reviews, succession planning, organizational design, workforce planning, and capability development.
  • Support organizational change and partner across HR functions to deliver effective solutions for the business.
  • Leverage workforce data and insights to identify trends, risks, and opportunities and support leadership decision-making.


Qualifications

YOU MUST HAVE
  • 6+ years of progressive HR experience, including HR Business Partner, HR Manager, or comparable experience.
  • Demonstrated experience partnering with and coaching business leaders on talent, organizational, performance, and employee matters.
  • Experience supporting employee relations and union-represented populations, in partnership with Labor Relations or other subject matter experts.
  • Experience across key HR disciplines, including talent management, performance management, workforce planning, and organizational effectiveness.
  • Strong communication, influencing, problem-solving, and relationship-building skills, with the ability to navigate complex situations.
  • Ability to operate effectively across site and broader functional responsibilities within a matrixed organization.

PAY RANGE

The annual base salary range for this position is $113,491 - 142,119. Please note that this salary information serves as a general guideline. Solstice considers various factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to the scope and responsibilities of the position, the candidate's work experience, education and training, key skills, as well as market and business considerations.

This position is incentive plan eligible.
