Overview of the role:

Saputo Dairy Products Canada G.P. is seeking a Human Resources Manager for an existing opportunity within our organization. Reporting across multiple sites in Port Coquitlam and Abbotsford, the Human Resources Manager will champion Saputo's culture and values while providing strategic and operational HR leadership. This role is responsible for ensuring consistent policy application, fostering strong labour relations, and supporting talent management across the employee life cycle. The ideal candidate is proactive, self-motivated, and thrives in a fast-paced environment.

This position is primarily based in Port Coquitlam and requires travel to Abbotsford 1-2 times per week, based on business needs.

How you will make contributions that matter:
  • Partner with business leaders to align HR priorities with operational goals and workforce needs
  • Build strong, collaborative relationships with leaders and employees through clear and effective communication
  • Serve as a trusted advisor, providing guidance and influence on people-related decisions
  • Oversee day-to-day HR operations, including recruitment, onboarding, attendance management, and claims administration
  • Act as the primary liaison for union and employee relations matters, applying the terms of three collective agreements in partnership with the business
  • Provide guidance to leaders on investigations, discipline, and grievance processes
  • Ensure fair and consistent application of policies across sites
  • Ensure compliance with employment legislation, collective agreements and internal policies
  • Maintain accurate HR records and reporting processes
  • Leverage HR metrics, data insights, and emerging AI tools to inform decisions, identify trends, and improve people processes
  • Support Social Accountability audits by coordinating documentation and employee interviews
  • Lead recruitment strategies and ensure timely hiring for operational roles
  • Support performance management processes, including coaching, progressive discipline, and development planning
  • Partner with Learning & Development to ensure visibility and alignment of training programs
  • Strengthen leadership capability through coaching and mentorship
  • Promote a culture of trust, consistency, and continuous improvement
  • Lead or support cross-functional HR initiatives and organizational projects
  • Improve HR processes and service delivery to enhance efficiency and consistency
  • Drive communication and change management initiatives across the business
  • Support initiatives that enhance employee engagement, inclusion, and workplace culture
  • Partner with leaders to address workplace concerns and improve retention
  • Lead or support employee events, recognition programs, and engagement activities
  • Champion Saputo culture at all levels of the organization
  • Lead HR projects across the region
  • Perform miscellaneous duties and responsibilities as required.


You are best suited for the role if you have the following qualifications:
  • Diploma in Human Resource Management; CHRP designation is considered an asset
  • 5 to 8 years of Human Resources generalist experience
