Overview of the RoleSaputo Dairy Products Canada G.P. is seeking a Millwright, for an existing opportunity within our organization. Reporting to the Maintenance Supervisor, the Maintenance Millwright is responsible for the routine/preventive maintenance and trouble shooting of manufacturing and packaging equipment
Status: Full-Time, Permanent
Schedule: Wednesday to Friday and every 4th Saturday. 6:30pm-6:30am.
Salary: $47.96/hour. Evening, night and weekend premiums available.
Hours worked on Saturdays and Sundays are compensated at one-and-one-half (1.5) times the regular hourly rate.

How you will make contributions that matter:- Carries out preventative maintenance on assigned equipment
- Trouble shoots and repairs equipment in breakdown situations
- Carries out equipment installations and modifications as required
- Repair parts in shop
- Work effectively in a processing environment without jeopardizing food safety
- Follow company policies and safety standards
- Works with other trades groups to complete project assignments.
- Other duties as assigned by the Maintenance Supervisor or Maintenance Manager
You are best suited for the role if you have the following qualifications: - Millwright licence
- Proven experience with process equipment in a manufacturing setting.
- Food industry or high speed packaging experience
- Pneumatics and hydraulics knowledge
- Ability to read and interpret Blueprints
- Welding experience is an asset
- Excellent trouble shooting and analytical skills.
- Boiler, refrigeration and air handling systems experience is an asset
- Electrical experience is an asset
- PLC training and experience is an asset
- Ability to work independently with minimum supervision.
- High level of self-motivation and initiative.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Dependable with a good attendance and safety record in current position.
- Available to work afternoon and night shifts, weekends and overtime as required.
- Available to switch shifts at short notice to replace absent workers
