DescriptionWe are seeking an HR Generalist to support our growing organization, with a strong focus on both human resources operations and recruiting. This role will act as a key partner to property and corporate leadership, driving workforce planning, employee relations, compliance, and talent acquisition.
This is a full-time, onsite position that will require being in our office 5 days a week.Key Responsibilities- Serve as the primary HR contact for all properties, partnering with leadership to understand workforce needs, staffing levels, and employee concerns
- Drive recruiting efforts for Maintenance, Leasing, Property Management, Superintendents, and corporate staff roles
- Provide coaching and guidance to managers on performance management, disciplinary actions, conflict resolution, and documentation best practices
- Conduct investigations related to employee relations, policy violations, and workplace complaints, ensuring timely and compliant resolutions
- Manage payroll processes, including calculating employee earnings (timesheets) and deductions for both exempt and non-exempt employees
- Ensure timely and accurate payroll processing, maintain employee records, and resolve payroll-related issues in compliance with employment laws and regulations
- Oversee onboarding for new hires, ensuring completion of required forms, policies, training, and property-specific onboarding
- Assist in developing and delivering training materials on HR policies, compliance, customer service, and leadership development
- Support the execution of 30-day, 90-day, and annual performance reviews
- Maintain accurate employee allocation and reporting data
- Maintain compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations; review and update policies and practices as needed
- Prepare and manage HR correspondence and respond to employee inquiries in a timely and professional manner
- Analyze current HR procedures and systems, recommending improvements and best practices
- Assist with employee disciplinary meetings, terminations, and investigations
- Perform other duties as assigned by management
Qualifications:- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or related field preferred.
- 3-6+ years of HR experience in a generalist capacity
- Demonstrated experience supporting both HR operations and recruiting/talent acquisition
- Experience in multi-site or field-based environments (property management, hospitality, retail, or similar) preferred
- Strong understanding of employee relations, performance management, and HR best practices
- Working knowledge of federal, state, and local employment laws
- Experience handling employee investigations, disciplinary processes, and conflict resolution
- Exposure to onboarding, training, and performance review processes
- Direct involvement with payroll processes and timesheet reviews for both exempt and non-exempt employees
Salary: $80,000 - $100,000 base
