Full Job Description
Context

The US HR Director based in Atlanta will report directly to the US Country Manager, acting as a key business partner at the country level. In parallel, the role has a functional reporting line to the Chief People Officer based in France, ensuring strong alignment with group HR vision, policies, and governance.

Operating in a global, multicultural organization, the US HR Director will play a critical role in bridging US and French cultures, translating global initiatives into locally relevant practices while bringing US perspectives, market insights, and people priorities back to the group. Success in this role requires the ability to navigate cultural differences, align stakeholders across geographies, and act as a connector between local execution and global strategy.

Responsibilities

Compliance & Operations
  • Serve as the primary HR authority for the US, with deep expertise in US labor law and employee relations
  • Act as a credible and trusted advisor to Senior Leaders, providing clear HR guidance and risk assessment
  • Supervise US payroll operations, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and compliance with federal, state, and local regulations
  • Travel regularly to US client sites and travel to HQ in France once per year

Talent Acquisition and Development
  • Support Talent Acquisition strategy for the US, ensuring alignment with business growth, workforce planning, and group standards
  • Drive talent development, performance management, and succession planning, supporting managers in building high-performing and sustainable teams
  • Deploy and localize group TA&TD initiatives in collaboration with Centers of Exellence teams in France, fostering internal mobility, leadership development, and continuous learning

Employee Experience & Engagement
  • Animate the employee experience strategy across the US organization
  • Improve engagement, retention, and workplace culture through targeted HR initiatives
  • Act as a point of escalation for complex employee relations matters

People Management
  • Manage a team of 3 HR professionals, including coaching, performance management, and development
  • Foster a collaborative and team-oriented culture across the HR function
  • Drive high standards of leadership, accountability, and employee support

Requirements
  • Strong background in US HR management, with a focus on labor law and employee relations
  • Demonstrate strong intercultural awareness and the ability to operate within a global, matrixed environment
  • Experience in tech, manufacturing, logistics is a plus
  • Proven leadership and people management experience (minimum 3 years managing teams)
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and make sound decisions in complex situations
  • Comfortable operating in an innovative and fast-paced environment
