Minimum qualifications:

  • 3+ years of experience in Human Resources, specifically in an HR Business Partner or strategic HR role
  • Up to30%travel to the IAD airportas needed
  • Demonstrated experience in strategic thinking and translating business objectives into HR strategies
  • Strong influencing skills to drive organizational change
  • Extensive knowledge of federal, state, and local employment laws
  • Experience in stakeholder management across multiple business units or functions
  • Strong prioritization skills with ability to manage multiple complex projects in a fast-paced environment
  • Experience in succession planning, organizational design, workforce planning, restructuring initiatives, and talent management for diverse employee populations
  • Advanced Excel skills and proficiency in HR analytics tools and data-driven decision making
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States for any employer without sponsorship
  • Successful completion of interviewrequiredto meet job qualification
  • Reliable, punctual attendance is a crucial function of the position


Preferred qualifications:

  • Airline/Aviation industry experience
  • Experience working with union environments and frontline/hourly employee populations
  • SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, PHR, SPHR, or other HR certification
  • Demonstrates an understanding of the capabilities and limitations of generative AI tools and effectively leverages them to support research, analysis, content creation, and problem-solving. The HR Business Partner for EWR and IAD serves as a strategic advisor to business leaders, partnering across teams to align people strategies with operational and organizational goals. This role supports leaders through complex workforce matters, employee relations, talent planning, organizational effectiveness, and change initiatives. Operating with a high degree of independence, the HR Business Partner uses business insight, HR expertise, and data-driven recommendations to develop and implement practical solutions that support both employee engagement and long-term business success.

Core accountabilities / key responsibilities:

  • Delivers HR advisory support to leaders tofacilitateresolution of complex queries and ensures that diversity and inclusion are a foundation of the business HR plans (values driven thought partnership).
  • Supports escalated challenges relating torepresentedpopulation and line managers (large volume of HR policy and procedure implementation) when providing support to Operational/ Frontline teams.
  • Guides talent,performanceand compensation management processes to enable people to build thecapabilitiesour business values andmonitorstheir impact on organizational effectiveness.
  • Directly communicate with senior leaders (Officers)regardinglong-term talent activities (workforce planning) when providing support to Corporate/ Functional teams.
  • Monitors complex employee relations issues and provides context and oversight for management of formal ER cases, manages sensitive or senior cases whereappropriate.
  • Shapes and delivers design,implementationand monitoring activities for a variety of human resource programs in support of broad businessobjectives; interprets/guides employees and leaders on HR policies and procedures and is familiar with Federal and State laws.
  • Actively engage in organizational development, talent management, and succession planning activities
  • Recommends sound inputs to the definition of the HR strategy, analyses HR data and provides a deep understanding of the business to drive and deliver organizational change initiatives.
