The Human Resources Strategic Capabilities Unit develops, retains, rewards and attracts talent needed for the business to attain strategic and operational goals.

What You'll Do:
  • Act as a strategic HR business partner, consulting with leadership to drive talent strategies, organizational development, and influence business outcomes.
  • Develop and maintain effective working relationships, influencing and consulting with the assigned client group(s) and HR Leadership on the implementation and delivery of HR strategies and initiatives.
  • Utilize data analytics and key performance indicators to measure HR effectiveness and identify areas for improvement.
  • Analyze organizational trends and challenges to provide actionable solutions that support business goals and improve HR operations.
  • Effectively manage change by influencing and communicating with key stakeholders. Anticipate risks associated with change management, and ensure creative, effective mitigations are available.
  • Provide training and direction to management and employees regarding personnel issues and disciplinary procedures, conduct investigations, and coordinate departmental structure changes. The position will effectively interface with employees, all levels of management, and the functional HR team.
  • Affirm a performance management culture based on accountability within the assigned client group(s).
  • Oversee talent management, succession planning, and leadership development programs within your client group.
  • Provide support on the design, development, implementation and communication of HR initiatives in support of HR strategies and ensure compliance with applicable company policies and governmental laws and regulations.
  • Support leaders through change, growth, and organizational evolution with clear, pragmatic guidance.
  • Partner closely with HR colleagues across HR Operations, Talent Acquisition, Talent and Organizational Development, Compensation and Leaves, and coordinate all to ensure strategic alignment to organizational effectiveness.
  • Drive, influence, advise and support the cultural and people aspects of organizational change, structures, people processes and best practice initiatives.
  • Provide support on complex employee relations matters and develop forward-thinking solutions.
  • Maintain a regular and predictable work schedule.
  • Establish and maintain effective working relationships within the department, the Strategic Business Units, Strategic Capabilities Units and the Company. Interact appropriately with others in order to maintain a positive and productive work environment.
  • Perform other duties as necessary.


On-Site Work Environment: This position requires regular in-person engagement by working on-site three or more days each normally scheduled week in the primary work location. Travel and local commute between company campuses and other possible non-company locations may be required.

Working Conditions:
  • Work is performed in an office environment, laboratory, cleanroom, or production floor.


Required Skills and Education

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field plus 6 or more years of related experience.
  • Each higher-level degree, i.e., Master's Degree or Ph.D., may substitute for two years of experience. Related technical experience may be considered in lieu of education. Degree must be from a university, college, or school which is accredited by an agency recognized by the US Secretary of Education, US Department of Education.
  • A highly developed understanding of HR practices and employment laws.
  • Experience in writing and interpreting HR policies.
  • Working knowledge of multiple human resource disciplines including compensation practices, employee relations, performance management, federal and state respective employment laws.
  • Experience in conducting investigations and gathering important information during interactions.
  • Excellent conflict management and interpersonal skills.
  • Self-directed and motivated. Must be able to manage multiple conflicting priorities.
  • Must be able to accomplish goals and objectives through influence and persuasion as opposed to line authority.

Preferred Skills and Education

  • PHR or SPHR certification.
  • Relevant industry experience and/or government contractor experience.
