Full Job Description
Amentum is seeking a Housekeeping Manager for a Base Operations Support contract in the Williamsburg area of Virginia. The manager shall direct, coordinate, and manage the work effort associated with a full range of housekeeping and custodial services provided at a US government location. The Housekeeping Manager shall demonstrate and apply highly developed interpersonal, analytical and communication (written and verbal) skills and possess the ability to manage complex programs in a diverse and dynamic environment with short-notice tasking's under high pressure situations.

Job Description:
  • Ensure that all housekeeping services are delivered, and all tasks are performed in accordance with the Scope of Work (SOW).
  • Support other key management personnel in their responsibilities and ensure they manage in line with relevant statutory, security, environmental, health, and compliance requirements.
  • Maintain a professional staff and ensure that they follow established training protocols, policies, directives, and procedures at all times.
  • Communicate effectively with the US Government (USG) personnel and departments to accomplish tasks and requirements and promote a customer friendly environment in support of operations at all levels.
  • Ensure delivery of high-quality services that align with the needs of the customer and in accordance with applicable statues and industry best management practices.
  • Provide overall management of the housekeeping staff and oversee all planning, scheduling and quality inspections of the housekeeping tasks performed for this effort.
  • Provide relevant information related to housekeeping operations to the USG when requested.
  • Submit an annual recapitalization plan to replace necessary equipment and supplies and the replenishment of the inventory of linens to support billeting demands.
  • Adhere to an established Quality Assurance Program (QAP).
  • Promote the utilization of environmentally friendly products whenever possible.
  • Maintain chemical safety data sheets and demonstrate cost saving to the government when using new products and equipment.
  • Establish, provide, and maintain a housekeeping cleaning/deep-cleaning plan for all facilities base-wide. The plan shall identify the level of cleaning (daily, weekly, deep cleaning, and pre-event) and frequency of cleaning to be performed at all locations. The Housekeeping Manager shall ensure that the cleaning/deep cleaning plan is followed.
  • Implement industry best practices trends.


Minimum Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in hospitality management preferred.
  • Five (5) years of relevant work supervisory/managerial experience, with three (3) years of functional specific experience.
  • Physically able to lift 15lbs frequently and up to 30lbs occasionally.
  • Demonstrated knowledge and experience managing a housekeeping/custodial staff in a hospitality environment.
  • Proficient with the software applications used by the Government to include Windows operation systems and the Microsoft Office suite.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment that requires handling multiple tasks at a given time and rapidly adapting to changing priorities and schedules.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Must have a government issued active clearance at the time of application.


Compensation Details:
$100,000-$115,000
