GENERAL MANAGER - THE ALBION SUMMITBy Landmark is currently looking for Hotel General Manager for our Summit, New Jersey location.
Summit, NJ | Full-Time, On-SitePosition SummaryThe General Manager of The Albion Summit is responsible for the overall leadership, financial performance, guest experience, operations and brand building of this historic mixed-use hospitality property. The role oversees a 100-room boutique hotel, our restaurant Felina Summit, multiple bars and lounges, weddings and events, The Stork Club membership and social club, community spaces, and future expansion initiatives.
This is a hands-on leadership role requiring an
owner's mindset, equally comfortable managing the P&L, developing teams, driving revenue, engaging with the community, and being visible on the floor.
Key Responsibilities- Own the property's full P&L, budgeting, forecasting, KPIs, labor, costs, and profitability.
- Lead overall hotel, food & beverage, events, catering, membership, and ancillary operations.
- Partner with department leaders and Home Base to achieve revenue, operational, and brand goals.
- Drive guest satisfaction and service standards, personally addressing escalations when necessary.
- Recruit, develop, coach, and retain a high-performing leadership team.
- Oversee event sales and execution, including weddings, corporate events, and social celebrations.
- Maintain By Landmark brand standards throughout the property and ensure compliance with health, safety, licensing, and operating requirements.
- Build relationships within the Summit community and serve as a visible representative of The Albion and By Landmark.
- Support new concepts, expansion projects, and additional revenue opportunities.
Ideal Candidate- Proven hotel and hospitality leadership experience with full P&L responsibility.
- Experience managing multiple revenue centers, ideally including hotel/rooms, F&B, and events.
- Strong financial, operational, and people-leadership skills.
- A visible, hands-on leader with excellent judgment and a strong service mentality.
- Experience with boutique, lifestyle, independent, or destination properties preferred.
- Familiarity with hospitality systems such as Cloudbeds, Flexkeeping, Akia, and restaurant POS platforms is a plus.
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience preferred.
Schedule & CompensationFull-time, on-site hospitality schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as business needs require.
Salary: $125,000-$165,000 annually, based on experience, plus performance-based incentive and benefits.
