Description

The hotel Director of Engineering leads all maintenance, facility operations, and capital projects to protect property assets. They ensure building systems run efficiently, maintain guest comfort, and ensure the facility complies with life-safety and regulatory codes.

Responsibilities
Facility Maintenance: Directs preventive and reactive maintenance for MEP systems, HVAC, plumbing, and elevators.
Financial Management: Prepares and manages departmental budgets, forecasts, and CapEx (Capital Expenditure) plans.
Team Leadership: Hires, trains, mentors, and schedules engineering and maintenance staff.
Safety & Compliance: Oversees life safety systems, emergency preparedness, and regulatory compliance.
Sustainability: Monitors utility consumption and drives energy-saving, green initiatives.
Project Management: Oversees renovations and coordinates with external contractors.
Cross-functional Collaboration: Partners with housekeeping, front office, and F&B to minimize guest disruption.
