Overview:We are seeking a dedicated and collaborative Nocturnist to join our team at a Level I Trauma Center with strong in-house specialty support and a closed ICU model. We offer flexible schedules, manageable patient volumes, and innovative tools to enhance clinical efficiency.
Position Highlights:- Schedule: Flexible block scheduling (primarily 7 on / 7 off)
- Annual Shifts: 182 shifts per year, including a minimum of 2 weekends per month
- Hours: 7PM - 5AM, 9PM - 7AM
- Team structure includes 1 swing physician, 3 in-house physicians nightly for cross-coverage, admissions and rapid responses (MRT)
- Patient Load - cross-coverage of approx 230-240 patients (team based), average of 7-8 admissions per MD per night
Clinical Environment:- Closed ICU model and Codes run by the ICU team
- Level I Trauma Center with full in-house specialty support
- Clearly defined service line agreements with specialists
- No required procedures
- Optional non-procedural POCUS training (CME-supported)
