Responsibilities

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated HIL Subject Matter Expert to join our ADAS/Platform/Diagnostic validation team. In this role you will lead automation and HIL testing efforts for ADAS feature testing, low-level platform software and hardware on next-generation automotive platforms. You will bring up new features, develop test solutions in order to perform End-to-end feature validation, develop test cases based on ASTQB test methodologies and automate developed test case and execute developed test cases. You will be validating ADAS, diagnostic protocols, validate power-management and core platform functionality, and drive CI/CD integration to improve test velocity and quality.

What you'll do...

  • Responsible for developing and bringing up test solutions, in order to perform end-2-end features validation.
  • Responsible for new feature bring up and system test validation of software components related to ADAS/AD, Diagnostics & Platform testing.
  • Responsible for performing GAP analysis, develop new test cases based on ASTQB test methodologies, automate those test cases & execute test cases to perform software validation across ECUs, focusing on ADAS/AD at system level on HIL.
  • Responsible for performing system architecture and the related validation tests on components.
  • Responsible for test plan creation, test execution, test reports review and feature validation tests while ensuring traceability to functional and performance requirements. Facilitate and align with cross-functional technical teams such as functional safety, feature teams, infotainment on the system level.
  • Responsible for performing testing on closed loop test benches and create bench level test cases using ECUTest / CAPL/ Python to increase efficiency, test repeatability contributing directly to reduce cost and improve final product quality.
  • Maintain test cases traceability against the system level feature requirements throughout the product development life cycle. Align and support SAFe processes and activities within functional areas such as System, Hardware and Safety
  • Responsible for Diagnostic testing, feature related fault injection testing and develop, execute the test cases to ensure the system and feature integrity. Triage and root cause the internal and customer fleet level parking features related issues.
  • Be responsible for test diagnostics and UDS protocol and fault test, Work on defining and executing software and hardware diagnostics test cases. Investigate root causes of component or system level DUT failure. Implement automated diagnostics testing (UDS/DoIP/K-Line), DTC validation, and DTC suppression/unmasking strategies where required.
  • Responsible for creating Roads and scenarios in dSPACE MotionDesk/ ModelDesk / Aurelion, should create ControlDesk Layout for feature testing and develop test automation in Python / ECUTest or equivalent HIL tools.
  • Author and maintain test cases, test data, and test artifacts (logs, traces, TestRail/Test Management entries) and ensure they are archived to artifact stores (e.g., JFrog).
  • Integrate test executions into CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, GitLab CI) and automated job scheduling systems (CT/Jira or equivalent). Analyze test failures, perform root-cause investigations (software, hardware, network topology), and coordinate fixes with software, hardware, and supplier teams.
  • Define and validate bench-level network topologies, bus routing, and power-modes required for reproducible testing. Drive continuous improvement initiatives to increase automation coverage and reduce redundant testing.


Qualifications

You'll have...
  • Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or related field.
  • 8+ years of experience in test automation for embedded /automotive systems, with demonstrable experience in ADAS or Chassis /PT domain or System HIL end to end feature testing.
  • 5+ years of hands-on experience with System HIL's (dSPACE SCALEXIO, VEOS, MotionDesk, ModelDesk or equivalent) and ECUTest (or similar test tools). Strong knowledge of automotive communication protocols: CAN (11/29 bit), LIN, FlexRay, Ethernet, UDS, DoIP, and diagnostic tooling.
  • 5+ years of proficiency with Python scripting to perform various automated tasks like test case execution, monitoring the vehicle level data for KPI testing. Experience debugging, testing and bringing up complex hardware/software systems
  • 3+ years of experience in conducting TDRs for new test solutions, leading test-case reviews as well as test-automation reviews. Hands on experience in bringing up new features, design and deploy test solutions in order to perform end-to-end feature testing.

  • Experience in Agile methodologies and the ASPICE (Automotive SPICE) framework, including applying ASPICE process areas to software development lifecycles and collaborating within iterative, multidisciplinary teams.
  • Experience in efficiently developing and executing validation test plans to cover various configurations applicable to the system.
  • Experience building and maintaining automated test frameworks, CI/CD integration (Jenkins/GitLab CI), and artifact management (JFrog, Nexus). Familiar with test management and reporting tools (TestRail, Jira) and log analysis tools (CANalyzer, Vector tools).
  • Strong debugging and root-cause analysis skills across hardware/software boundaries. Knowledge of virtualization (VEOS/virtual ECUs) and bus virtualization/routing approaches.
  • Familiarity with safety/functional-safety concepts (ISO 26262) and automotive development lifecycle.

This position is a range of salary grades 7-8 and ranges from $99,600-$192,900.
Final determination of salary grade will be based on candidate's skills and experience, and base salary will be set within the applicable range according to job scope, responsibility and competitive market value.
