Full Job Description
We are looking for a Heatlhcare Data Anaylst to join our team in the Shelton Business Office. This position requires the applicant to work on-site. The pay range for this role will depend on experience and qualifications. Position Summary: The Healthcare Data Analyst shares responsibility for creating custom queries and reports and analyzing data in support of clinical and business operations, as well as supporting the Radiologists. This role requires a high level of collaboration with colleagues, managers and executives across departments as well as strong communication and technical skills. This role directly supports data-driven clinical decision-making and operational improvements in radiology services. Qualifications: Applicants must be authorized to work for any employer in the United States. We are unable to sponsor or take over sponsorship of an employment Visa at this time. Local candidates preferred. Schedule: Monday-Friday 8:30am- 5:00pm Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities: • Use SQL queries, business intelligence software and other analytics tools to design/maintain reports; write queries to extract data; create dynamic automated scripts that aggregate data; create interactive dashboards. • Attend meetings and work with company leaders and others as needed to plan, review and present data reports • Document and track reporting requests, data requirements and resources; design/maintain analytics processes to support reporting. • Identify, analyze and interpret trends or patterns in complex data sets. • Develop, modify, maintain and support custom reports (MS SQL, SSRS) for both ad-hoc and ongoing needs. • Build data visualizations in SSRS, Tableau/Tableau Next or other software. • Research and recommend innovative, automated approaches for data and reporting tasks. • Create and maintain technical documentation for various systems, services and business processes including databases and reporting procedures. • Assist with the review, consolidation and reduction of data discrepancies. • Provide Tier II/other support per request from various constituencies. Investigate and troubleshoot issues. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: • Technical expertise regarding data models, database design development, data mining and segmentation techniques. • Strong knowledge of and experience with reporting services (SSRS, Crystal Reports). • Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize, analyze and disseminate significant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy. • Adept at queries, report writing and presenting findings. • Experience with BI Tools (e.g. Tableau, Tableau Next, Power BI or similar). • Experience with Microsoft Dynamics desired. • Experience with clinical applications such as EHR, RIS, PACS a strong plus. • MIPS/APM analysis and reporting experience a strong plus. • Understanding technical and industry compliance and best practice standards, such as HIPAA, PCI and ITIL a plus. • Understands security protocols and follows business guidelines for handling confidential data. • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills. Educational Requirements: • Four-year relevant college degree or equivalent work experience required. • Three plus years of T-SQL experience (i.e. SQL Server, MySQL, etc.).
