Position Overview
CORMAC is seeking an experienced Public Health Administrator to support Centers for Medicare & Medicaid
Services (CMS) program focused on reviewing and evaluating applications and State Plans. The successful
candidate will work closely with CMS and State stakeholders to assess program submissions, ensure
compliance with Federal requirements, identify trends, and provide recommendations that support quality
improvement initiatives benefiting nursing home residents and older adults.
This role requires strong analytical skills, exceptional attention to detail, knowledge of public health programs
and regulations, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a collaborative environment.
Responsibilities
• Review and evaluate applications, State Plans, and supporting documentation for completeness,
accuracy, and compliance with CMS requirements.
• Analyze proposed quality improvement initiatives designed to improve resident care and quality of
life for nursing home residents and older adults.
• Assess applications and State Plans against applicable Federal regulations, guidance, and program
requirements.
• Identify deficiencies, inconsistencies, and compliance issues and prepare detailed recommendations
for corrective action.
• Collaborate with CMS staff, State agencies, and project team members throughout the review and
evaluation process.
• Conduct data analysis and trend identification to support program monitoring, reporting, and
decision-making.
• Participate in quality assurance activities to ensure consistency and accuracy of reviews.
• Participate in project planning meetings, stakeholder discussions, and technical working sessions.
Required Qualifications
• Master's degree or higher in Public Health, Health Administration, Public Policy, Nursing, Pharmacy,
Healthcare Management, Clinical Sciences, or a related field.
• U.S. Citizen or Green Card Holder.
• Minimum of 3+ years of experience supporting public health, healthcare quality improvement,
healthcare administration, regulatory review, or program evaluation activities.
• Experience analyzing policies, regulations, guidance documents, or program requirements.
• Exceptional analytical, verbal, written, and presentation skills.
• Strong organizational skills with demonstrated attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a remote environment while meeting deadlines.
Preferred Qualifications
• Experience supporting the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS), CMS, or other
Federal healthcare programs.
• Experience reviewing grant applications, State Plans, quality improvement initiatives, or healthcare
program submissions.
• Knowledge of nursing home quality initiatives, long-term care programs, or healthcare quality
improvement programs.
• Experience conducting compliance reviews, policy analysis, or program evaluations.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Access, SharePoint, Teams, Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• Certified Public Health (CPH), PMP, or other relevant professional certifications.
