Inpatient coding across all surgical and medical specialties including, but not limited to: academic institution coding experience, burns, all transplants, cardiology, pulmonology, neuro, ortho, spine procedures, etc.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS- A valid credential from AHIMA (RHIA, RHIT, or CCS).
- Demonstrated proficiency in medical coding, with a minimum of 3 years' experience in inpatient and/or observation coding and charging within an acute care setting.
- Coding experience with inpatient and/or Observation coding and charging.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS- Demonstrated coding experience with inpatient coding.
- Proficient skill with computers and computer systems.
- Epic & 3M 360 CAC.
- Trauma level I.
- Academic Facility Coding.
- Three to five (3 - 5) years coding experience with proven knowledge of inpatient/outpatient/surgery/emergency room records with RHIT/RHIA/CCS credential.
SPECIAL CONDITIONS- Must be able to work various hours and locations based on business needs.
- Employment is subject to a criminal background check and pre-employment physical.
Pay Transparency Act
Annual Full Pay Range: $105,528 - $131,210 (will be prorated if the appointment percentage is less than 100%)
Hourly Equivalent: $50.54 - $62.84
Factors in determining the appropriate compensation for a role include experience, skills, knowledge, abilities, education, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs.
