Full Job Description
About the Role

Submittable is looking for a strategic, hands-on Head of Sales Enablement to build and scale the programs, tools, and culture that help our sales organization perform at its best. The ideal candidate has experience building enablement functions inside SaaS companies and knows how to translate strategy into everyday rep behavior.

You'll partner closely with Executive and leadership stakeholders across Sales, Marketing, Product, and Customer Success to design onboarding, training, messaging, and coaching programs that shorten ramp time, drive quota attainment, and reinforce a culture of accountability across the revenue org.
What You'll Do
  • Own the enablement strategy: Build and evolve a sales enablement roadmap aligned to company revenue goals, GTM motion, and the buyer journey.
  • Build onboarding & ramp programs: Design onboarding for new sales hires that reduces time-to-productivity and sets a consistent bar for skill and knowledge from day one.
  • Shape sales culture: Partner with sales and customer success leadership to reinforce a high-performing, accountable, coachable culture - through certification, coaching frameworks, and performance rituals.
  • Develop content & messaging: Translate product, competitive, and market positioning into playbooks, battlecards, and talk tracks reps actually use.
  • Partner with executive stakeholders: Act as a trusted advisor to sales leadership and the executive team, aligning enablement investment to pipeline and revenue priorities and reporting on impact.
  • Measure what matters: Define and track enablement KPIs - ramp time, win rates, quota attainment, rep confidence - and iterate programs based on the data.
  • Champion AI & automation: Identify and roll out AI-powered coaching, content, and workflow tools that cut manual busywork for reps and managers and speed up ramp and deal execution.
What We're Looking For
  • 8+ years of experience spanning sales enablement, training, or leadership, featuring a minimum of 3 years in SaaS (ideally within a private equity-backed organization).
  • A track record of building and scaling enablement programs inside a high-growth sales organization, not just running existing ones.
  • Demonstrated success building or reinforcing a high-performing sales culture, with results to show for it.
  • Strong executive presence and experience partnering with C-suite and senior leadership stakeholders on strategy and results.
  • Working knowledge of modern sales methodologies (e.g., MEDDIC, Command of the Message, Sandler, Challenger) and how to operationalize them.
  • Experience designing and delivering sales training curriculum (onboarding, methodology, and skills-based programs), with hands-on facilitation experience.
  • Hands-on experience with sales enablement and revenue tech (e.g.Gong, Salesforce, and Salesloft).
What Success Looks Like in 12 Months
  • A refreshed onboarding program is live, with measurably shorter time-to-first-deal for new reps.
  • Core playbooks and messaging are current, used, and tied to a clear content governance process.
  • Sales leadership and the executive team are able to leverage enablement as a strategic partner with a clear scorecard - and a stronger, more accountable selling culture across sales and customer success.
  • Measurable cadence to evaluate and enforce improvement of onboarding program.
  • Improve win rates and reduce time to close.
  • Understanding product roadmap and customer signals to create improved product knowledge across selling channels.
