Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Occupational or Environmental Health and Safety or related field required, Master's preferred.
• 10+ years of progressive EHS experience, preferably in food manufacturing or plant environments.
• Professional certification such as Certified Safety Professional (CSP) or Certified Hazard Control Manager (CHCM) is essential.
• Strong familiarity with OSHA 30, DOT, EPA regulations and compliance requirements.
• Proven track record in designing and leading safety programs and training initiatives.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to collaborate and influence across various organizational levels.

Responsibilities

• Lead company-wide safety culture initiatives to foster accountability and continuous improvement.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant federal, state, and local regulations and internal EHS policies.
• Develop and enforce comprehensive EHS programs and procedures across all departments.
• Conduct audits, inspections, and risk assessments for compliance and to identify improvements.
• Oversee safety and certification training for employees, contractors, and management.
• Investigate accidents and near-miss incidents, determining root causes and corrective actions.
• Act as primary liaison with regulatory agencies, auditors, and safety vendors.
