Full Job Description
About the Role

Product Operations is the operating system of the product org. With 140 people across engineering, product, and design spanning three product portfolios, three things need a durable owner or they degrade: the data layer, the product lifecycle process, and how new product people get up to speed. This role owns all three.

This is an operations function, not a strategy function. Portfolio bets, sequencing, and positioning stay with the founders and PM leads. What you own are the systems that let EPD run at scale - reliably, repeatably, without a founder in the loop. If you're drawn to building infrastructure that quietly makes everyone else faster, this is your role.

Responsibilities

Product Analytics - durable infrastructure
  • Own our analytics stack (Omni, Amplitude, etc.) end to end: instrumentation standards, event taxonomy, metric definitions, dashboard hygiene, and the NPS/CSAT measurement architecture across each product.
  • The bar: any PM or exec can pull a trustworthy number without having to ask who to trust.

Product Lifecycle - recurring process
  • Own the alpha - beta - GA process and the EPD↔GTM communication that runs on top of it - including the RACI for each phase, the handoff gates, and who tells GTM what and when.
  • Manage the communication and process around changes to existing products.
  • Own the voice-of-customer feedback loop between GTM, Support, and the product org, including strategic account calls that surface prioritization signals.

PM Onboarding - repeatable system
  • Own new-PM onboarding as a designed program, not an ad-hoc handoff. It should be tied to the PM ladder and produce consistent ramp times regardless of who's running it.

Chief of Staff - leverage work
  • Take on one-off high-leverage work (offsites, annual planning, cross-functional initiatives) as assigned. This is real work, but scoped case by case.

Qualifications

  • 7+ years in product operations, strategy & operations, analytics, or a related role - ideally at a B2B SaaS company that scaled through complexity.
  • A builder of systems, not a manager of tasks. You've owned infrastructure that kept running after you moved on to the next thing.
  • Strong SQL and hands-on experience with BI and analytics tools (Omni, Amplitude, Looker, or similar) - you can build dashboards and data models yourself, not just direct others to.
  • Track record of owning KPI frameworks and instrumentation standards across multiple products and stakeholders.
  • Sharp program manager who can run the alpha - beta - GA lifecycle process across a multi-product org without losing the details.
  • Excellent communicator - you can translate messy operational realities into clear frameworks and get buy-in from engineers, PMs, and execs alike.
  • Bonus: experience in hospitality tech, enterprise SaaS with strategic accounts, or scaling product analytics at a growth-stage company.

Compensation

Target cash compensation ranges from $200,000-$240,000, including a fixed annual salary and a performance-based bonus paid quarterly.

This role also includes a stock option grant, subject to board approval.

Actual compensation will be commensurate with the candidate's skill level, experience, and specific work location.

We also work hard to ensure Canary is a fun and exciting place to work! Here are some of the additional benefits:

Canary Days: As a company we want to ensure that the team has time to recharge. Each month we provide company wide days off to ensure there is at least one extended weekend or day off.

Self Improvement Club: We meet each month and share our personal goals for the month. Each individual is provided a budget towards any purchases that help us achieve these goals.

Professional Development Chats: We provide budget to help drive cross functional professional development conversations across the organization.

Travel Reimbursement: Team members are able to visit our offices across New York, San Francisco or Dallas when they choose, and are provided a travel stipend for doing so. Spend time working with the team in their office, and use the rest of your time exploring a new city!

Personal Travel Reimbursement: If you stay at a hotel that Canary works with, we provide a credit towards your stay.
