This role is both hands-on and strategic-you will run day-to-day IT operations, manage vendor performance, and partner closely with Security and Compliance to maintain strong controls without slowing the business.

What You Will Own
  • Onboarding and offboarding process
    • Design and manage streamlined onboarding and offboarding workflows leveraging Rippling IT.
    • Ensure consistent provisioning and deprovisioning of access, devices, and accounts across the organization.

    • Maintain accurate asset records and optimize refresh schedules to balance cost and performance.
  • IT operations
    • Run day-to-day IT operations, including helpdesk function, escalation management, root cause analysis, and continuous improvement.
    • Establish IT policies, standards, and service levels for a distributed workforce (US + India).
  • Migration projects
    • Lead corporate collaboration tooling migrations, including Google Workspace migration and Slack migration, using specialist partners where appropriate.
    • Plan and execute projects with clear timelines, change management, and minimal business disruption.
  • AI security and tooling
    • Evaluate and implement AI security controls and tooling to protect against emerging risks.
    • Partner with Security to establish governance around AI tool usage and data protection.
  • Policy management
    • Develop and maintain IT policies that support business growth while ensuring security and compliance.
    • Ensure policies are clearly communicated and consistently enforced across the organization.
  • Security and device configurations
    • Own identity and access administration in Microsoft Entra ID and Google Workspace, including role-based access, MFA, and privileged access workflows.
    • Own endpoint management with Intune (or equivalent MDM) and endpoint security baselines in partnership with Security.
    • Ensure secure device configurations, endpoint hygiene, and secure remote access across all devices.
  • Vendor and spend management
    • Own vendor selection, contracts, and performance management (including MSPs and migration specialists).
    • Own licensing strategy and cost controls (Microsoft 365, Google Workspace, Defender, and other SaaS), reducing bloat and preventing overcharging.
  • Security and compliance partnership
    • Partner with Security/Compliance to ensure IT operations support ISO/SOC-style controls, audit readiness, evidence collection, and secure defaults.
    • Reduce risk from third-party access and unmanaged tooling.

    • Mixed Mac + Windows environments
    • Rippling IT or similar HR/IT platforms
  • Demonstrated ability to manage vendors and MSPs with clear SOWs, KPIs, and accountability.
