Head of FP&A, Capital Markets - JLL

Location: Chicago, IL (requires at least three days per week in-office)

The Opportunity

JLL seeks a strategic Head of FP&A, Capital Markets to lead financial planning, forecasting, and reporting for our global Capital Markets business - a segment generating over $2B in annual revenue across more than 80 countries. This is a high-visibility role for a strategic and critical thinker who can operate fluently with junior analysts and senior business leaders alike, bring a continuous-improvement mindset to FP&A processes, and identify and communicate strategic opportunities that shape the business's direction.

Reporting to the CFO of Capital Markets and LaSalle, you will lead a global FP&A team, own the planning and reporting cycles end-to-end, and serve as a trusted finance partner to business leadership on competitive positioning, growth strategies, major projects/initiatives, and other opportunities as they present themselves.

Key Responsibilities

Global FP&A Leadership
  • Own the planning and reporting cycles end-to-end, including 3-year strategic plans, annual budgeting, rolling forecasts, and scenario modeling, with a continuous-improvement focus
  • Own global management reporting, KPIs, and variance commentary for executive leadership, including monthly, quarterly, and annual performance reporting
  • Drive harmonization of operating metrics, reporting standards, and FP&A processes across business lines and geographies
  • Develop sophisticated financial models incorporating pipeline data, portfolio metrics, and market trends to deliver forward-looking business insight

Strategic Business Partnership
  • Serve as a trusted finance partner to Capital Markets business leadership on competitive positioning, growth strategies, major projects/initiatives, and other strategic opportunities as they present themselves
  • Proactively identify, evaluate, and communicate strategic opportunities to senior leadership, translating financial data into clear, actionable recommendations
  • Partner with JLL Global FP&A to deliver top quality reporting, analytics, commentary and support for earnings, Board of Directors, investor and other critical meetings and events
  • Assume a key role in developing and evolving capital allocation decisions, forecasting and performance measurement frameworks, as well as cash flow reporting and forecasting
  • Support M&A evaluation, due diligence, and integration activities as needed


Technology & Continuous Improvement
  • Champion modern FP&A tools, analytics platforms, artificial intelligence and other forms of automation to improve efficiency and analytical depth
  • Drive innovation in financial planning capabilities through data visualization and business intelligence platforms
  • Continuously reassess processes and reporting to adapt to a changing business environment


Team Leadership
  • Recruit, mentor, and develop a high-performing FP&A team, with clear objectives aligned to business strategy
  • Guide professional development of team members across geographies

Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field; MBA, CPA, or CFA preferred
  • 15+ years of progressive finance experience, including significant time in senior FP&A leadership for a large, global organization
  • Public company experience strongly preferred
  • Accounting background a plus
  • Proven experience serving as a strategic finance partner to senior/C-suite business leadership
  • Demonstrated global experience - managing or partnering across multiple regions/geographies
  • Strong track record identifying and articulating strategic opportunities to senior leadership
  • Excellent communicator, able to flex between junior team members and senior executives
  • Technology-savvy, with experience driving adoption of modern analytics/FP&A platforms and automation
  • Strategic and critical thinker with a continuous-improvement mindset

Estimated compensation for this position:

240,000.00 - 320,000.00 USD per year

This range is an estimate and actual compensation may differ. Final compensation packages are determined by various considerations including but not limited to candidate qualifications, location, market conditions, and internal considerations.
