The hourly range for this position is $40.00 per hour. Final compensation will be determined based on experience, qualifications, and overall fit for the role.
Location: Daytona, Florida.

About the Role
The HDD Operator safely operates horizontal directional drilling equipment and CDL vehicles to install underground utilities including electric, fiber, telecommunications, and gas infrastructure. This position is responsible for executing bore plans, performing equipment inspections, and supporting safe job site operations.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
• Operate horizontal directional drilling rigs and related equipment.
• Perform pilot bores, reaming operations, and pipe or conduit pullback activities.
• Transport equipment and materials to and from project sites.
• Review bore plans and utility information before beginning work.
• Assist with locating and potholing activities to identify existing utilities.
• Perform daily inspections and preventive maintenance on drilling equipment.
• Monitor drilling conditions and communicate continuously with the Locator and Foreman.
• Ensure proper setup and breakdown of drilling operations.
• Maintain clean and organized equipment and work areas.
• Follow OSHA regulations and company safety procedures.
• Properly use, store, and handle drilling fluids.
• Assist with restoration and cleanup activities as required.
Qualifications
• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Minimum 2 years of HDD operating experience preferred.
• Ability to read utility drawings and bore profiles.
• Knowledge of underground utility construction and damage prevention practices.
• Strong mechanical aptitude.
Certifications/Licenses
• Valid driver's license required.
• CDL required or ability to obtain.
• OSHA 10 preferred.
