Software Developer-Expert

The position will support the development of a cloud analytics
environment within Medicaid Enterprise Systems (MES). The environment will bring together multiple large DOH sources that must be joined and made available to meet Department use cases, including support of the AHEAD model. The Software Developer will support data ingestion, cleaning and analysis of information.

Day to Day:

Day-to-day tasks include but are not limited to:
1. Work with DOH teams to modernize data cleaning and transformation processes using version control and collaborative repositories.
2. Build and maintain data ingestion pipelines in the Cloud
3. Help scale technical infrastructure like CICD processes.
4. Work with technical manager to ensure the team implements the correct software solution and the solution will meet the needs of the program.
5. Build automated tests and validation processes.
6. Mentor the junior developers on the team.
7. Documentation of technical process and code.
8. Follow department level, and division level directives, best practices, standards, and methodologies, as appropriate or requested.

Mandatory Qualifications:

- Is involved with all facets of the software development process, including the research, design, programming, testing and implementation of computer software
- 84+ months: Candidate is able to provide guidance to large teams and/or has extensive industry experience and is considered at the top of his/her field.

Requested Qualifications:

- 84 months experience in Designing and implementing scalable cloud-based web applications using AWS.
- 84 months experience with analysis of complex business rules, workflow processes, and re-engineering business processes.
- 84 months experience with data processing and analysis using Python on Linux platform.
- 72 months experience writing transformations with Informatica Data Quality (IDQ) or similar ETL tool.
- 72 months experience with relational and NoSQL databases (like Oracle, Postgres, MongoDB, DynamoDB, etc) containing large amounts of data (greater than 10 million rows).
- 72 months experience authoring a complete set of technical documentation
- Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science or Information Technology from an accredited institution.
