Full Job Description
Hardware Technical Program Manager IV

itD is seeking a Hardware Technical Program Manager IV to drive end-to-end hardware program execution for the AI Factory pod within Reality Labs Wrist Hardware. This role is critical to scaling AI-powered manufacturing solutions across Meta's device portfolio by coordinating hardware development, factory execution, and cross-functional program delivery. The ideal candidate will bring deep experience in hardware NPI program management, overseas contract manufacturing operations, and large-scale consumer electronics development, with a proven track record of successfully delivering complex hardware programs from development through production.

Location: Hybrid / Onsite preferred in Sunnyvale, CA. Candidates based in Redmond, WA will also be considered. US Pacific Time availability is preferred to support collaboration with the Sunnyvale team.

Duration: 12 Months

Pay Rate: Depending on experience.

Responsibilities
  • Own end-to-end program schedules, build planning, and milestone tracking across electrical engineering, product design, test engineering, and manufacturing teams.
  • Coordinate contract manufacturer execution, including build planning, PRQ activities, and production tooling deployment with manufacturing partners in China.
  • Drive cross-functional alignment across engineering, manufacturing, operations, and leadership stakeholders to ensure program success.
  • Develop and maintain risk management processes, escalation plans, and mitigation strategies throughout the product lifecycle.
  • Deliver executive-ready status reporting, program updates, and operational reviews to leadership teams.
  • Manage dependencies across AI-powered factory tooling initiatives and the hardware programs they support.
  • Support factory readiness activities and travel internationally as needed during key build and manufacturing phases.

Required Qualifications and Skills
  • 8-10 years of hardware technical program management or NPI program management experience within consumer electronics, wearables, or related hardware industries.
  • Proven experience managing overseas contract manufacturing execution, including build planning, PRQ activities, and tooling deployment in China.
  • Experience working directly with contract manufacturers such as Huaqin or similar manufacturing partners.
  • Strong cross-functional leadership experience across engineering, product development, test, manufacturing, and operations teams.
  • Demonstrated ability to create executive-level program communications, status reporting, and risk management plans.
  • Experience supporting manufacturing operations and working within factory environments, including SMT and FATP processes.
  • Ability and willingness to travel internationally, including travel to China during critical build phases.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications and Skills
  • Manufacturing factory experience within large-scale consumer electronics organizations.
  • Experience with Apple manufacturing programs, particularly within China-based manufacturing operations.
  • Familiarity with electrical engineering, test engineering, and manufacturing processes.
  • Experience supporting wearable technology or consumer electronics products.
  • Exposure to AI-driven manufacturing tools, data platforms, or automation initiatives.
  • Mandarin language proficiency.
  • PMP certification.

Education
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related technical field required.
  • Equivalent combination of education and relevant work experience will also be considered.
