Job Title: Senior Hardware Technical Product Manager (TPM)

FT Direct Employment w/Benefits Location: Seattle, WA (Hybrid)

About the Role:

We are seeking an analytical and hands-on Sr Hardware TPM to lead the evaluation, testing, and rollout of hardware devices across our retail and operational environments. This role bridges the gap between device design, user experience, and operational execution, ensuring our devices are durable, intuitive, and seamlessly integrated into our workflows.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Evaluate device durability including drop impact, moisture and temperature resistance, and battery performance.
  • Assess human factors and UX, such as safety, intuitive design, screen visibility, and glare
  • Explore and recommend solutions to improve device usability and operational efficiency for customers and employees
  • Design and evaluate operational procedures for device usage and maintenance
  • Develop cutover plans for device replacements and upgrades
  • Lead planning and testing efforts for device fleet monitoring and software updates
  • Assess in-store infrastructure including cables, anti-theft systems, counter space, and traffic flow
  • Plan and monitor incremental rollouts, ensuring minimal disruption and maximum adoption
  • Adjust procedures and hardware design based on real-time feedback during rollout phases


Primarily need someone on the hardware side for 70% hardware, 20% management of software. 10% software.

60 - 70% desk job, 30% - 40% would be to visit stores in the Greater Seattle area for physical validation checks, etc.

Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Human Factors, Product Design, or a related field
  • 3-5 years of experience in:
    • Device testing or hardware evaluation
    • UX research or human-centered design
    • Technology deployment or operational planning
  • Strong understanding of durability testing, UX principles, and deployment logistics
  • Experience working cross-functionally with engineering, design, and operations teams
  • Excellent problem-solving, communication, and project management skills


Preferred Qualifications
  • Master's degree in a related field
  • Experience in retail technology or consumer electronics environments
  • Familiarity with anti-theft systems, store layout optimization, and customer flow analysis
  • Project management certification (e.g., PMP, Agile/Scrum)


Education: Bachelor's or master's degree or equivalent experience in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
