About the Role

This role serves as a subject matter expert for SAP Supply Chain and Operations systems, acting as a critical link between Operations and IT. The individual will support daily SAP operations, system improvements, and the implementation of new SAP modules, while ensuring data accuracy, audit readiness, and effective end-to-end planning execution.

SAP Operations & Systems Support
  • Act as a subject matter expert for SAP Operations activities and transactional processes.
  • Configure, maintain, and support SAP Supply Chain modules including Materials Management (MM), material master data, subcontracting and external processing, batch management, and forecast consumption/demand planning.
  • Resolve transaction-blocking issues related to Sales Orders, Purchase Orders, Goods Receipts, and other operational transactions.
  • Audit system transactions and ensure compliance with internal controls and validation requirements.
  • Support quarterly physical inventory activities, including reconciliation and system validation.

Implementation, Integration & Testing
  • Support the implementation of new SAP modules and system enhancements, including MRP and Supply Planning initiatives.
  • Manage data mapping, migration, cleansing, and validation during cutover and post-go-live activities.
  • Support integration points between SAP Supply Chain modules and FI/CO (Financial Accounting and Controlling).
  • Develop and execute test plans, support User Acceptance Testing (UAT), and resolve issues promptly.
  • Test systems for expected behavior before changes are released and partner with IT and business teams to close gaps.

Planning & Process Optimization
  • Support end-to-end planning flows from demand through manufacturing and supply execution.
  • Own and monitor automated processes; manage input parameters and adjust algorithms or models as needed to meet business objectives related to cost, service, and responsiveness.
  • Troubleshoot and triage system and process issues reported by operations, coordinating with suppliers, carriers, and software support teams as required.

Training, Documentation & Change Management
  • Create training materials and deliver SAP and supply chain system training for Operations and cross-functional users.
  • Provide ongoing support post go-live and during steady-state operations.
  • Define and document detailed business requirements, functional and technical specifications, user stories, process flows, and test cases.
  • Participate in technical discussions with developers on backend design, performance, architecture, and scalability.

Stakeholder Engagement & Roadmap Development
  • Act as a liaison between Operations, IT, Finance, Planning, and Manufacturing teams.
  • Provide updates on system initiatives and business efficiency improvements.
  • Collect feedback from global planners, factories, and stakeholders to help define and drive the systems roadmap.

Required Qualifications
  • Proven experience supporting SAP Supply Chain or Operations modules, preferably in a manufacturing or supply chain environment.
  • Strong understanding of SAP MM, master data, planning, and transaction flows.
  • Experience with SAP implementations, enhancements, testing, and post-go-live support.
  • Ability to translate business needs into system requirements and functional specifications.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with MRP implementations and supply planning optimization.
  • Familiarity with SAP integrations with Finance (FI/CO).
  • Experience supporting audits, regulated environments, or validation readiness.
  • Background in training delivery and change management.

The pay range for this position is $102,500 - $184,500 annually. The actual wage offered may be lower or higher depending on budget and candidate experience, knowledge, skills, qualifications, and premium geographic location.
