Growth Director What You'll Do
Build and architect an internal product designed to identify where cultural influence is forming and where market opportunity exists before it becomes visible at scale, integrating behavioral, cultural, and macroeconomic signals into a repeatable growth intelligence system.
Lead the qualification process for inbound leads while consulting the Head of Growth, assessing opportunities against our core principles and capabilities.
Participate in discovery calls with qualified leads, taking detailed notes, and maintain the sales pipeline daily using CRM tools to coordinate follow-up communications.
Build thorough "Get Smart+" decks ahead of formal pitch kick-offs to ensure internal teams are fully briefed on the opportunity.
Work in collaboration with business leads to collect all intended data and complete cases studies for award winning work
Collaborate cross-functionally with creative, strategy, and production teams to assemble compelling proposals and support the preparation of prospective client capability presentations.
Help drive a proactive outbound engine by building master database heatmaps on LinkedIn to identify target brands, client networks, and key decision-makers.
Conduct research on potential new markets, focusing on portfolio diversification.
Support agency self-promotion by leading monthly e-newsletters, driving social media updates (LinkedIn, Instagram, TikTok), and packaging notable updates for top search consultants.
Organize and support post-mortem reviews after pitch submissions to help the leadership team identify areas for celebration and improvement.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Deep understanding of the modern agency landscape, specifically the value of speed, agility, and cultural credibility that independent agencies offer.
Strong organizational abilities to help balance the agency's time between vetting inbound leads (defense) and executing proactive outreach (offense).
Ability to evaluate opportunities objectively to ensure we are making calculated bets regarding staff bandwidth and investment .
Excellent research skills, specifically utilizing LinkedIn to map out client networks and identify strategic points of contact .
Strong collaborative skills to assist Operations and Finance teams in determining if the agency has the proper resources to pursue new leads.
Exceptional attention to detail to ensure pitch preparation materials, timelines, and post-mortem documents are accurate and well-managed.
Minimum Qualifications
5-8 years of professional experience supporting new business, growth, or marketing efforts within an advertising or creative agency environment.
Experience directing the end-to-end pitch process, from initial discovery and vetting through deck preparation and post-mortems.
Demonstrated ability to use social platforms, particularly LinkedIn, for networking, lead generation, and market mapping.
Preferred Qualifications
Familiarity with the agency search consultant landscape and an understanding of how to help manage those communication workflows.
An interest in social media strategy as a dual tool for agency self-promotion and as a fast pathway to expanding client scopes.
Prior experience pulling pipeline reports and researching competitor strategies to highlight potential market opportunities.
