Job Description

The Sea/Land Sales & BD Director is responsible for the consolidation of the Sea/Land Strategy, Customer Experience, Voice of Customer (VOC) and the Sea/Land Products Roadmap & Portfolio Map of Sea/Land programs, products, and services across Enterprise. The position will be responsible for leading cross-functional teams within a matrix organization across geographic boundaries. Provide a voice who recommends program and organizational structure improvements for Sea/Land Program performance that is below expectations. Responsible for the development, deployment and execution of an annual Sea/Land Strategy covering 1 year tactical and 3-5 year strategic objectives. ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Lead the development, deployment and execution of an annual Sea/Land Strategy covering 1 year and 3-5 year objectives, strategies and tactics
  • Establish commonality in customer experience for customers interfacing within Enterprise in support of Sea/Land programs, products, and services
  • Coordinate and provide revenue input for applicable programs, products and services to assist in the preparation of the yearly revenue forecast and support of 5Q revenue forecast process
  • Support preparation for Major Opportunity Review (MOR) for Sea/Land Program, Products and Services
  • Provide a voice that recommends program and organizational structure improvements for Sea/Land Program, Products and Services whose performance are below expectations.
  • Receives general guidance with respect to overall objectives and work is usually quite independent of others. Operates within department policy guidelines using independent judgment in achieving assigned objectives and is subject to very broad communication associated with this position.
  • Assess program and key team personnel performance in support of Sea/Land Programs, Products and Services and provides input and feedback to functional managers
  • Recommend and lead efforts to improve existing processes to improve quality and/or on-time delivery
  • Other duties as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS Education:
  • The individual shall possess a BS Degree and/or commensurate military experience.
  • However, candidates with significant progressive experience demonstrating equivalent knowledge and competencies may be considered

Experience:
  • Ten years' experience in a technology company or relevant military experience, fifteen years' experience preferred.
  • A minimum of five years' program management, product management or business development experience, ten years preferred
  • Government/Military acquisition experience beneficial but not required
  • Experience in more than one of the following disciplines a plus: Teams Operator, Product Marketing, Operations, and Government Contract Management, End user experience
  • Success in leading cross-functional teams in a matrix organization
  • A history of coaching, training, and mentoring professional level individuals and teams
  • Success in developing and executing a strong customer service focused organization

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
  • Intimate knowledge of people management skills, particularly influence management and conflict resolution
  • Strong knowledge of marketing, including market research, market sizing, pricing, marketing communications, and product launch
  • Knowledge of Failure Analysis & Corrective Action Reporting processes
  • Strong influence-management, negotiation, leadership, and assertiveness skills
  • Strong organizational and time-management abilities.
  • Strong computer skills, with an emphasis on Microsoft software programs; Word , Excel, PowerPoint, database, and electronic mail applications
  • A working knowledge of Department of Defense (DOD) acquisition policies, regulations, and practices including FAR and DFAR is beneficial but not required
  • Experience working in a Staged/Gated Product Development environment
  • Experience with Salesforce Customer Relationship Management (CRM) is a plus.

Pay: From $130,000.00 per year
