Group Vice President, Consumer Marketing will be responsible for increasing SiriusXM's relevance and creating demand by leveraging the power of our brand, content, talent and unique access to live events and fan experiences to develop compelling, integrated marketing opportunities across channels, partnerships and experiences.
This leader will serve as SiriusXM's senior consumer marketing expert, bringing deep expertise in building brand relevance, creative strategy, integrated marketing and media strategy. Working from the audience priorities and consumer understanding developed through Consumer Strategy, they will define how SiriusXM shows up in the market and identify new ways to use our extraordinary content, talent, live moments and experiences to make SiriusXM more relevant and compelling to current and future consumers.
The role requires an exceptional combination of consumer marketing expertise, creative judgment, cultural fluency and digital orientation. The successful candidate will know how to turn consumer strategy into ideas that resonate, recognize exceptional creative work, connect marketing across channels and experiences, and see opportunities to make individual content, talent and cultural moments significantly bigger through integrated marketing.
This leader will oversee Brand Strategy, Creative, Integrated Marketing & Brand Experiences, Media Strategy and Partnership Marketing, working closely with Consumer Strategy, Engagement Strategy, Product, Programming and other partners to create a more connected approach to marketing and customer outcomes.
What you'll do:- Define and steward SiriusXM's brand positioning, differentiation, architecture and long-term brand direction, ensuring the brand remains distinctive and relevant.
- Lead the development of creative strategy and expression across SiriusXM marketing, establishing a high bar for ideas, storytelling, design and execution.
- Identify and develop integrated marketing opportunities that bring together creative, media, content, talent, partnerships, digital and live experiences to amplify our most important moments and create greater consumer relevance.
- Turn SiriusXM's unique content, talent, access and programming into compelling consumer propositions and marketing ideas that create relevance and demand.
- Develop marketing strategies that broaden SiriusXM's relevance with new and evolving consumer segments while strengthening the connection with our existing customer base.
- Lead Media Strategy, defining the role of media within our integrated marketing approach, including channel strategy, investment priorities and measurement.
- Partner with Marketing Activation & Operations to translate media strategy into effective activation and optimization across digital platforms.
- Develop consumer-facing marketing opportunities with partners that extend the brand, create distinctive opportunities and connect SiriusXM with consumers in relevant ways.
- Expand how SiriusXM uses experiential marketing, live moments, fandom and merchandise to create larger, more integrated brand experiences.
- Partner closely with Consumer Strategy to translate audience priorities, consumer needs and identified opportunities into brand and marketing strategies.
- Work with Engagement Strategy to connect brand and demand creation with acquisition and subscriber lifecycle strategies.
- Build strong partnerships with Programming and Product to ensure our marketing effectively communicates and amplifies the content, talent, capabilities and experiences that differentiate SiriusXM.
- Establish clear priorities across Brand, Creative, Media, Partnerships and Integrated Marketing and create stronger coordination across those capabilities.
- Serve as a senior thought partner to leadership.
- Lead multiple VPs and/or senior leaders across Brand Strategy, Creative, Integrated Marketing & Brand Experiences, Media Strategy and Partnership Marketing, creating alignment, accountability and leadership development across the broader function.
- Own cross-functional budget and investment prioritization across the consumer and brand marketing portfolio, balancing resources across teams to maximize business impact and efficiency.
- Exercise cross-functional decision-making authority across the portfolio, resolving competing priorities and aligning strategies across Brand, Creative, Media, Partnerships and Integrated Marketing.
- Collaborate directly with ELT members and peer functional leaders on company-wide priorities, and represent Consumer & Brand Marketing in high-level enterprise discussions.
- Drive transformation and innovation across the related marketing functions, improving how teams work together and scaling integrated approaches that increase consumer relevance and business performance.
What you'll need:- Typically has 18 or more years of experience with 9-12 or more years of management experience.
- Demonstrated success making an established consumer brand more relevant to new or evolving audiences without relying primarily on traditional mass-media advertising or wholesale brand reinvention.
- Proven ability to turn content, talent, cultural moments, experiences or other differentiated assets into integrated marketing that creates consumer interest and demand.
- Strong creative judgment and demonstrated ability to inspire, evaluate and elevate creative ideas and execution.
- Deep digital fluency and experience using digital, social and emerging channels to amplify content, experiences and cultural moments.
- Experience developing integrated strategies that connect creative, media, content, partnerships, digital and physical experiences rather than treating them as independent disciplines.
- Strong understanding of modern media, with the strategic judgment to balance brand building and performance objectives and determine channel roles and investment priorities.
- Strong cultural fluency and an instinct for fandom-understanding how talent, content, live moments and access can create relevance and deeper consumer connection.
- Strong commercial orientation and a track record of connecting marketing decisions to measurable customer and business outcomes.
- Exceptional communication, storytelling and influencing skills, with the ability to establish a clear marketing point of view across senior cross-functional teams.
- Experience in media, entertainment, subscription, live experiences or another culturally relevant consumer business is strongly preferred.
- Must have legal right to work in the U.S.
At SiriusXM, we carefully consider a wide range of factors when determining compensation, including your background and experience. These considerations can cause your compensation to vary. We expect the base salary for this position to be in the range of $229,000 to $300,000 and will depend on your skills, qualifications, and experience. Additionally, this role might be eligible for discretionary short-term and long-term incentives. We encourage all interested candidates to apply.
