What You'll Be Doing

The Transaction Banking team delivers strategic, innovative payment solutions and platforms to CIBC's business clients in Small Business (Business Banking), Private Banking, Commercial, and Large Corporate segments. Our team is committed to providing products, strategies, and implementation services that foster positive, profitable relationships and support our clients' evolving needs.

Reporting to the Director of Digital Solutions, you will lead the strategy, execution, performance and day to operations of our client facing business payment platforms including Cash Management Online ("CMO"). This payment platform is used to deliver access to critical payment products and reporting to our clients including Wires, ACH, EFT, Bill Payments, e-Transfers, Information Reporting and Credit Card reporting. You will play a pivotal role in a dynamic team dedicated to continuously raising the bar for digital cash management platforms, ensuring they not only meet but exceed the evolving needs of our business clients and align with CIBC's strategic vision.

As the Group Product Manager, Digital Solutions you will be accountable for:

  • Leading the strategic planning and execution of assigned payment platform initiatives to drive growth, innovation, operational effectiveness, and market competitiveness while ensuring alignment with client needs


  • Product management by owning business objectives, and driving exceptional customer experiences


  • Building relationships and cross-functional collaborations with internal and external partners to ensure superior client experience on our payment platforms, industry alignment, and achievement of business growth objectives.

How You'll Succeed

  • Digital Channel Management: Collaborate with technology partners, both internal and external, to ensure solutions are aligned with business requirements and deliver an exceptional user experience. Maintain and groom platform backlogs for ongoing platform enhancements. Lead communication planning for clients and employees regarding new features, enhancements, and fixes.


  • Leadership Impact: Demonstrate strong management and leadership skills to drive results within a matrix organization, inspiring change at senior levels.


  • Project Delivery: Lead and support initiatives to ensure business project objectives are met. Optimize processes, budgets and resources to deliver excellence. Business leadership for requirements, business testing, stakeholder reviews, collateral updates and change management activities.


  • Strategic Planning and Research: Drive ongoing strategic business plans and business cases. Stay informed of key industry trends for digital solutions, payment products and client experience. Ongoing reviews and analysis of client feedback, stakeholder feedback, system performance and marketing positioning to support development of comprehensive roadmap.


  • Regulatory Compliance: Address any remediation activities stemming from risk items, deficiencies, audits and any other sources, to ensure prompt remediation of gaps


  • Analytical Excellence: Analyze complex information, identify patterns and trends, and develop actionable recommendations to address urgent business priorities.


  • Collaborative Partnerships: Build and nurture strong relationships across CIBC's teams, including Commercial Banking technology, product groups, sales, and marketing.


  • Teamwork: Work with a dedicated team of digital professionals to provide high-quality digital experiences for a diverse range of clients across multiple digital properties and touchpoints.


Who You Are

  • You can demonstrate several years of work experience in Banking digital solutions with client facing and/or non-client facing business payment platforms and strategic planning within financial services. You have a proven track record of working on and successfully completing digital solution projects.


  • You can demonstrate experience and product knowledge of critical payment products and reporting delivered through business platforms including Wires, ACH, EFT, Bill payments, e-Transfers, Information Reporting, and Credit Card reporting.


  • You have knowledge of business segments including Small Business (Business Banking), Commercial Banking and/or Capital Markets


  • You are digitally savvy, embracing innovation and adapting quickly to new technologies and trends.


  • You have the ability to understand complex issues and concepts related to new and evolving business needs. You can get up to speed quickly with regard to new information and able to deal with changing circumstances.


  • You have strong analytical skills, drawing meaningful insights from data to inform decisions.
