In this role you will have the following daily key responsibilities:- Lockheed Martin Operations is looking for a dynamic and industrious Ground Support Equipment (GSE) Director.
- As the GSE Director, you will be charged with standing up and leading a multi-functional workforce supporting the enterprise programs with Mechanical and Electrical Ground Support Equipment and associated Software solutions.
- This involves managing all aspects of GSE from proposal through engineering and on to delivery and operations support.
- The successful candidate will have an in-depth knowledge of what it takes to support the manufacturing, assembly, testing, transportation, and handling of our LM Space Products.
- The GSE Director will be responsible for strategy, staffing, execution and affordability for all Ground Support Equipment across LM Space including ensuring strong ties between E&T, Operations, Ignite and the Line of Business Programs.
Some travel (~10-15%) will be required.

Responsible for coordinating subordinate employee recruitment, selection and training, performance assessment, work assignments, salary, and recognition/disciplinary actions. Oversees the synthesis of customer contractual needs and requirements into system test solutions that acknowledge technical, schedule and cost constraints. Directs the following activities: establishing functional and technical specifications and standards, solving hardware/software interface problems, defining input/output parameters, and ensuring integration of the entire system or subsystem. Manages the development and directs preparation and execution of comprehensive test plans, procedures and schedules for complete systems and/or subsystems. Coordinates subsystem and/or system testing activities with programs and other organizations.
Basic QualificationsTo be effective, you will need to possess these basic qualifications:• 10+ years of highly effective leadership experience with a proven ability to manage through complex technical and programmatic environments.
• Project and/or Program management / leadership experience with demonstrated ability to meet cost, schedule and technical objectives.
• Experience with Ground Support Equipment, ATLO (Assembly, Test, & Launch Operations) and/or Production Operations.
• Experience supporting proposals including developing Basis of Estimates (BOEs) and staffing projections.
• Experience interfacing with company executives, customers and suppliers.
• Experience as a leader of leaders.
• You will need to be a US Citizen, and be able to obtain and maintain a US TOP SECRET / SCI clearance, to support this government contract, as well as successfully pass a drug and background check, in order to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information. Desired SkillsTo be effective, ideally, you should also have:• Bachelor of Science or higher in Engineering or a related discipline; or equivalent experience/combined education.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills with proven track record of successfully interacting with cross functional teams.
• Experience with Earned Value Management (EVM) and/or Control Account Management (CAM) experience.
• Experience in engineering project management including engineering release, cost, and schedule tracking such as Windchill, ePDM, CREO.
• Risk and opportunity experience with an understanding of continuous improvement concepts.
• Active or Current TS/SCI clearance.
Pay InformationFull-Time Salary Range: $180000.00 - $325000.00

PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year.
