Job Summary:We are seeking a highly organized and proactive Grassroots Developer Programs Manager to help execute developer-facing community programs and activations, including meetups, workshops, hackathons, and other grassroots initiatives. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in fast-paced environments, can manage multiple priorities at once, and enjoys turning ideas into well-run programs.
The ideal candidate is collaborative, resourceful, and dependable, with strong project management instincts and a genuine curiosity for learning technical concepts relevant to developers. They do not need to be a technical guide, but they should be eager to learn, ask thoughtful questions, and build credibility in a developer-focused environment over time.
This person should be comfortable working cross-functionally, navigating ambiguity, and creating structure where needed. Experience in startups or mid-sized companies may be especially valuable, particularly for candidates who are also excited to apply that scrappy approach successfully inside a bigger organization.
Responsibilities:- Drive implementation of developer initiatives and activations, including meetups, workshops, hackathons, code-alongs, and events centered around developers
- Coordinate timelines, logistics, communications, and participant follow-up across multiple concurrent initiatives
- Partner cross-functionally with campaign, community, events, evangelism, and partner teams to ensure programs are well aligned and well driven
- Turn broad goals into clear action plans, trackers, and subsequent actions
- Identify risks, gaps, and blockers early, and proactively work to resolve them
- Help bring together findings, improve repeatable processes, and give to a stronger operational foundation for grassroots efforts
- Represent the team professionally in both internal coordination and external-facing execution
Requirements:- 3-6 years of proven experience in community, field, program, event, or grassroots execution roles
- Exceptional organizational skills, with a confirmed system for leading multiple concurrent workstreams
- Proactive collaborator communication; does not wait to be asked for updates
- Collaborative, clear working style with no tendency to operate in silos
- Strong follow-through and comfort owning detailed execution from planning through post-event reporting
"Nice To Have" Skills and Experiences:- Experience working at a startup or mid-sized company, where wearing multiple hats and building structure was part of the job
- Ability to take direction, align to strategy, and implement without needing to personally lead the strategy
- Team-first approach; motivated by program success and business impact rather than personal visibility
- Experience in developer, technical, community, or events-based programs
- Experience supporting meetups, workshops, hackathons, or grassroots community activations
- Comfort working within a larger company environment and navigating cross-functional stakeholders and process
- Ability to balance creativity with professionalism and alignment
- Comfortable raising risks, blockers, and trade-offs early
