Full Job Description
Our graphics team works on all packaging needs (hangers, hangtags, callout tags, belly bands, etc.) in conjunction with our factories and PD/Merch teams, along with managing our internal photo studio, showroom/office signage, website updates, and other miscellaneous graphics projects.

We are seeking a team Manager to work across and manage the packaging and branding for several brands. This person will report to the team Director and manage a sub-team that works across multiple brands. They will be expected to recommend a visual representation of the concept for all new projects and communicate the objectives both orally and visually. Our ideal candidate will be a strong team leader, with an ability to follow up on project status, coach and mentor the team and be able to execute on these essential responsibilities:
  • Maintain a strong sense of communication between business and creative types: responsible both to review the work of other designers to help give guidance and feedback to help align with business needs, as well as be the point person between Design/Sales/PD to hear feedback and produce solutions for cross-functional departments.
  • Ability to work on multiple diverse brands at the same time, both independently and guiding a team; the ability to follow licensor brand guidelines and suggest rebranding/upgrades when needed is priority.
  • Execute on the design of garment hangtags, logos, mockups, production approval, retouching of images and print layouts; oversee all design elements from initial concept to final delivery.
  • Fully responsible for the layout of packaging artwork across the team: must understand die-lines; execute on all design principles including layout, typography, and color theory; and maintain a strong sense of grid structure.
  • Maintain high level of quality and make sure only the best work/concepts are released.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional departments to drive digital creativity, website, and trend sheets.

Requirements/Qualifications:
  • 5-7 years' experience working as a Packaging Designer; management or leadership experience is preferred, but not required for the right candidate.
  • Master at Adobe Suite: Illustrator & Photo Shop required; Premier a plus
  • Must have a demonstrated ability to adapt brand guidelines to multiple uses; also need to have a strong eye for design aesthetics and visual details.
  • Online portfolio that demonstrates a passion for design and attention to detail.
  • Experience with Squarespace or CSS or HTML5 is a plus.
