Grants Director (FT)Location: Garden City |
Schedule: FT M-F, 35 Hours |

Salary Range: $90,000.00-$110,000.00/hour
Responsibilities - Research, identify, and evaluate grant opportunities from government agencies, foundations, corporations, and other funding sources.
- Develop and maintain a strategic pipeline of qualified grant prospects.
- Write compelling grant proposals, letters of intent (LOIs), concept papers, and supporting documentation.
- Develop project narratives, budgets, goals, objectives, and outcome measures tailored to funder requirements.
- Coordinate proposal development with program leadership, finance, and executive staff.
- Manage grant submission timelines and ensure all applications are complete, accurate, and submitted by deadlines.
- Submit grant applications through various online grant management systems and funding portals.
- Track grant applications, award status, reporting requirements, and deadlines.
- Assist with grant reporting and compliance for awarded grants.
- Build and maintain professional relationships with foundation officers, government agencies, and funding partners.
- Attend grant-related training, webinars, networking events, and informational sessions to stay current on funding opportunities and best practices.
- Support additional fundraising and development initiatives as needed.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications - High school diploma or equivalent required; Bachelor's degree preferred.
- Minimum of three (3) years of grant writing, proposal development, or nonprofit fundraising experience.
- Demonstrated success securing funding from government, foundation, or corporate sources preferred.
- Excellent written, editing, proofreading, and verbal communication skills.
- Strong research, analytical, and organizational abilities.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines with exceptional attention to detail.
- Experience preparing grant budgets in collaboration with finance staff.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and web-based grant submission platforms.
- Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively across departments.
- Professional judgment, discretion, and ability to maintain confidentiality.
- Writing samples will be required as part of the interview process.
