Full Job Description
The Opportunity

Ulteig is looking for a self-motivated graduate engineer to join our dynamic studies team. This engineer would be responsible for completing various types of studies to support preliminary renewable projects, interconnection applications, NERC Compliance, and dynamic simulation modeling. Other opportunities for early phase work (prior to plant design) will be available as well

What You'll Do

The engineer is expected to perform studies utilizing PSSE, PSLF, PSCAD, and othersoftware packages to study performance, meet NERC Compliance standards, create models and perform model validations and benchmarking for renewable projects. Previous experience with steady-state PSSE and experience with renewable energy projects is preferred but not necessary. If desired and as project workload allows, this engineer will have the ability to work in other areas of power system analysis, design, and testing that Ulteig is currently involved in, or that is seen as an area of potential growth for the company.

What We Expect from You
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering required, ABET accredited program or equivalent required
  • Prior engineering internship required
  • Interest to perform steady-state and dynamic power flow studies
  • Ability to effectively present results of studies internally and externally
  • Ability to work with existing and new clients to identify new projects, articulate to the clients our ability to perform those projects, and translate that into the sale of consulting services
  • Ability to manage multiple projects concurrently and on tight deadlines
  • Willingness and ability to develop a wide skillset as needed to allow for internal workload flexibility
  • Must have permanent authorization to work in US

Additional Opportunity Details:
Target Base Compensation Range for this role is $81,900-$91,200*
* Factors that may be used to determine your actual salary include your job specific skills, education, training, job location, number of years of experience related to this role and comparison to other employees already in this role
