We are seeking an experienced
GCP Data Architecture Lead to drive large-scale cloud data transformation initiatives and architect modern, enterprise-grade data platforms on Google Cloud Platform (GCP). This role will lead the design and execution of complex data modernization programs, including enterprise data migrations, cloud-native data architectures, governance frameworks, and scalable analytics solutions.
The ideal candidate combines deep expertise in GCP's modern data ecosystem with proven experience delivering secure, high-performance data platforms that enable business intelligence, AI, machine learning, and advanced analytics at scale.
Key Responsibilities- Lead the design and implementation of enterprise data architectures on Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
- Architect and deliver large-scale data migration and modernization programs from legacy platforms to cloud-native environments.
- Design secure, scalable, and high-performance data solutions leveraging GCP services and industry best practices.
- Develop enterprise data models, metadata frameworks, and governance standards to improve data quality, accessibility, and compliance.
- Implement and manage modern GCP data platform capabilities, including data ingestion, processing, storage, governance, and analytics.
- Partner with business and technology stakeholders to define data strategies, roadmaps, and target-state architectures.
- Establish architectural standards, reference patterns, and best practices for enterprise data platforms.
- Provide technical leadership and guidance to engineering teams throughout solution design and implementation.
- Support advanced analytics, AI, and machine learning initiatives through robust data architecture and governance practices.
Travel may be required for this role, varying from 0 to 100% depending on business need and client requirements.
Required Qualifications- Minimum 12 years of experience in Data Architecture, Data Engineering, or Cloud Data Platform modernization.
- Minimum 12 years of experience designing and executing enterprise-scale data migration and transformation programs.
- Minimum 12 years of experience building secure, scalable, and high-performance data architectures.
- Minimum 12 years of experience working with modern data platforms and cloud-based data ecosystems.
- Deep expertise with Google Cloud Platform (GCP) data services, including:
- BigQuery
- Cloud Spanner
- Dataplex
- Strong understanding of:
- Enterprise data modeling
- Data governance and stewardship frameworks
- Metadata management
- Ontology design and instantiation
- Data security and regulatory compliance
- Proven ability to lead architecture decisions for complex enterprise data environments and modernization initiatives.
- Excellent stakeholder management, communication, and leadership skills.
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent (minimum 12 years) work experience. (If Associate Degree, must have minimum 6 years work experience)
Preferred Qualifications- Google Cloud Professional Data Engineer Certification.
- Google Cloud Professional Cloud Architect Certification.
- Experience supporting AI, machine learning, and advanced analytics solutions on GCP.
- Experience establishing enterprise-wide data governance and data quality programs.
- Consulting or advisory experience leading cloud transformation initiatives across large organizations.
