Role PurposeThe Global Planning Manager is responsible for developing and executing global supply chain strategies to align capacity, demand, and supply across regions while ensuring exceptional service to customers. This role leads the Customer Supply Chain Analysts, manages customer relationships, and drives performance improvements across the end-to-end supply chain. The manager will work closely with customers, suppliers, and internal teams to optimize operations, mitigate risks, and meet corporate objectives.The Global Planning Manager oversees strategic global supply and demand planning processes, ensuring alignment with both customer needs and internal business goals. This role is tasked with optimizing supply chain efficiency, managing capacity constraints, and fostering strong relationships with key customers. The Global Planning Manager will lead the execution of global SIOP processes, guide the Product Line Planners and Customer Supply Chain Analyst, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure the smooth flow of materials and accurate forecasting across multiple regions. The manager will work closely with production planners, supply chain analysts, and key suppliers to drive efficiencies, manage risks, and ensure effective communication across the global supply chain.
Key Responsibilities- Lead the development and management of global capacity and demand plans (SIOP), ensuring alignment with corporate objectives, customer value, and supply chain capabilities
- Oversee Customer Supply Chain Analysts, ensuring that product-level planning and execution aligns with global strategies and customer demand
- Collaborate with key customers to understand demand models, synchronize orders, and represent customer demand in forecast consensus meetings
- Define and drive global customer replenishment strategies while improving forecast accuracy and managing inventory transitions for new product introductions
- Collaborate with manufacturing, supply chain, and operations teams to ensure flexible capacity models and robust contingency plans are in place across product lines
- Drive global supply chain initiatives related to security of supply, inventory optimization (iMAX), and SLOB management, while guiding Product Line Planners in their execution
- Develop and execute strategic supply chain initiatives, ensuring product availability and operational efficiency at both global and product-specific levels
- Set global KPIs for supply chain performance and monitor key metrics such as on-time delivery, inventory levels, and cost efficiency, ensuring that Product Line Planners meet their respective targets
- Lead global cross-functional teams in the planning and execution of improvement projects related to supply chain processes and systems, coordinating with Product Line Planners and Customer Supply Chain Analyst for consistent execution
- Provide regular updates to global supply chain stakeholders, weekly Product Overviews, present strategies in five-year plans, and lead customer business reviews and supply chain planning efforts
- Represent all Supply Chain functions within Product Team structure to drive alignment between supply chain capabilities and business objectives
Required Education - Bachelor's degree in SC, Business
- 8+ years of experience in supply chain planning, with a focus on global operations and team management
- Proven track record in capacity planning, demand forecasting, and supply chain optimization at both the global and product-specific levels
- Strong leadership skills, with the ability to manage and mentor a team across multiple regions
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work with internal teams, external stakeholders, and manage a reporting team
- Proficiency in advanced planning systems (e.g., SAP) and analytical tools
- Demonstrated experience in driving supply chain improvements and achieving operational targets, with the ability to manage both strategic and tactical aspects of planning
Desired Experiences- MBA or Master's degree
- Professional certification in supply chain management, operations, or engineering (APICS, PMP, Six Sigma)
This position does not support immigration sponsorship. The range for this position is $135,540.00 - $186,368.00 assuming full time status. Starting pay for the successful applicant is dependent on a variety of job-related factors, including but not limited to geographic location, market demands, experience, training, and education.
