Job DescriptionThe Global People Solutions Analyst - Severance Operations supports Visa's People Shared Services organization by managing end-to-end severance operations with accuracy, confidentiality, and care. This role partners closely with employees, managers, Payroll, Finance, Legal, Employee Relations, People Business Partners, and other People Team stakeholders to deliver consistent, compliant, and timely severance support. The Analyst will help ensure a seamless employee experience while contributing to operational excellence, process consistency, and continuous improvement.
Essential Functions:
- Administer, monitor, and track severance cases from intake through closure, ensuring timely execution and alignment with applicable company policies and country-specific requirements.
- Prepare, review, and coordinate severance-related documentation, including separation materials, calculation inputs, approvals, and employee communications.
- Partner with Payroll and Finance to support accurate severance payment processing, reconciliation, and resolution of payment-related questions.
- Serve as a knowledgeable point of contact for employees, managers, and People Team stakeholders on severance processes, timelines, policies, and procedures.
- Maintain accurate case records, documentation, and reporting while adhering to strict confidentiality standards for sensitive employee information.
- Collaborate with Legal, Employee Relations, People Business Partners, and other internal teams to support case management, documentation accuracy, and timely issue resolution.
- Conduct audits, peer reviews, and data validation to support accuracy of severance calculations, documentation, case status, and operational reporting.
- Identify process gaps, support root-cause analysis, and recommend improvements to strengthen quality, timeliness, consistency, and employee experience.
- Use HR systems and case management tools, including Workday and ServiceNow, to research employee information, document activity, update cases, and support operational workflows.
Visa requires at least 3 days in office, expectations of these days will be confirmed by your Hiring Manager.
QualificationsBasic Qualifications
- 2 or more years of work experience with a Bachelor's Degree or an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD, or PhD)
Preferred Qualifications:
- 3 or more years of work experience with a Bachelor's Degree or more than 2 years of work experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD)
- 3 or more years of relevant HR operations, People Shared Services, employee lifecycle, or severance operations experience.
- Experience in HR operations, People Shared Services, employee lifecycle administration, or a related operational support function.
- Demonstrated ability to manage confidential employee information with discretion, integrity, and sound judgment.
- Analytical capability to conduct audits, validate data, identify discrepancies, and support accurate case and payment processing.
- Strong attention to detail, organization, and follow-through in a deadline-driven environment.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain processes clearly to employees, managers, and cross-functional stakeholders.
- Direct experience supporting severance operations, including severance calculations, separation documentation, case tracking, and payment coordination.
Information for US ApplicantsFor roles located in the US, the estimated salary range for this position is $77,700.00 to $ 120,200.00 USD per year, which may include potential sales incentive payments (if applicable). Salary may vary depending on job-related factors which may include knowledge, skills, experience, and location.
