Job Description:

The Global Media Capabilities and Operations Director serves as a critical driver within the Mars Inc. Media team, acting as the backend media engine that absorbs complexity for Mars segments so they can remain focused on driving growth. Operating at the intersection of media strategy, operational excellence, and agency governance, this role is responsible for driving global and regional scaled excellence. The role is a central service/resource for all segments, supporting many business-critical, foundational marketing workstreams.

What are we looking for?
  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business Administration, Media Communications, or a related field.
  • 10+ years of experience in digital marketing, media activation, or media operations; strong preference for agency experience, as well as experience on CPG brands and complex, matrixed organizations
  • Project Management: Demonstrated experience in complex project leadership with the ability to navigate large-scale, matrixed organizations, align diverse regional stakeholders, and influence without authority.
  • Collaboration: Experience translating between business and technical stakeholders, and across teams with competing priorities. A people person who builds trust and influences without authority.
  • Media & Ad Tech Expertise: Deep understanding of the digital media ecosystem and hands-on exposure to key platforms (e.g., DSPs/SSPs, ad verification, media management tools, etc.)
  • Agency & Partner Management: Strong track record of driving joint value, governance and operational accountability with partners


What will be your key responsibilities?
  • Oversee the strategy, scope, and delivery of the regional media hub models with our agency partner, to enable and enhance performance or our ~$1.3Bn Mars Inc Media investment - including defining, standardizing, and scaling media activation practices across regions, establishing clear execution guidelines, operational SLAs, and KPIs for programmatic, connected search, and social channels.
  • Lead our ad operations and ad tech strategy. Own the partner strategy, evaluation, integration, and contract management for global media technology partners across Brand Safety, Media Management, Optimization, DSPs/SSPs and AdServers.
  • Lead the in-house media operations team managing the setup, day-to-day management, access control, and structural governance of Mars-owned ad accounts and technology platforms, as well as how agencies manage accounts on our behalf
  • Partner with the Digital Experience team to manage intersecting governance and process needs related to our paid and owned social and website assets to deliver media campaigns
  • Lead the definition, governance, and deployment of a consistent global media taxonomy across all segments to enable a unified, total performance view
  • Consult with the Data, Tech & Tools team on the deployment of media dashboards to unlock spend transparency, track operational value, and maximize segment utilization of partner benefits
  • Partner with Snacking & Kellanova leads to transition Kellanova into the Mars integrated model, leading the Hub, taxonomy and ad tech transitions

The base pay range for this position at commencement of employment is between the range listed below, however, base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including but not limited to job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position will include variable pay, medical and dental benefits, participation in 401k plan, and paid time off benefits. Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided if an applicant receives an offer of employment.

The pay range shown is applicable to all US locations listed within the job posting:USD 134,400.00 - USD 184,800.00
