ABOUT THE Role

Wego is seeking a transformational and strategic Global Head of IT, Digital, and AI , shaping and executing our plans for sustainable growth over the next decade plus. You will own the Information Technology (IT) function globally for the company and sit on the Senior Leadership team (SLT), operating as a business leader first and technology leader second, accountable for driving revenue growth, margin expansion, and competitive differentiation.

Wego has invested substantially in core systems and IT staff over the past decade; it has not kept pace in process governance, systems architecture, or unified design of its operating model or customer experience. The result is a company with broadly capable systems, routinely worked around because of foundational functional gaps.

You will build and lead a world-class technology strategy to drive global IT transformation, including re-engineering customer experience, optimizing foundational systems, employing digital technologies as business improvement enablers, modernizing IT infrastructure, ensuring pragmatic and effective cybersecurity, and forging strategic commercial relationships - all while creating a nimble, reliable, and cost-effective IT platform across the business. You will need both IT depth and organizational standing to drive strategic conversations across IT, supply chain, commercial, and finance. You'll be tasked with optimizing the IT operational and capital budgets and to develop the talent pipeline of the IT organization through strong recruitment, training, mentorship, and rewarding and recognizing exemplary contributions.

You will anticipate industry change and identify opportunities for innovation, including artificial intelligence, that strengthens Wego's competitive position. You'll ensure AI is not treated as a standalone initiative, but rather as an embedded capability that delivers measurable outcomes and encourages a culture of thoughtful AI experimentation.

The role requires a unique blend of strategic thinking, strong business sense, world class technology and leadership skills, and quite simply "getting stuff done." The ideal candidate is a forward-thinking business technology leader with a builder mindset and a strong customer service philosophy; someone excited by a project, excited to build an IT organization in their vision, and excited to make a high impact in an essential business with a strong legacy facing an inflection point.

Key Qualifications
• Minimum of 10 years of progressively expanding senior executive IT leadership.
• Extensive experience in industries with sophisticated supply chain capabilities including manufacturing, distribution, or retail business models; experience in B2B distribution or global trade businesses is a big plus.
• Experience leading an IT team of internal and external resources in a globally distributed organization, supporting a global employee base.
• Deep experience implementing and owning ERP, TMS, and CRM systems is a must; Oracle Cloud, OTM, and Salesforce experience are a big plus.
• Systems thinker with a strong understanding of IT enterprise architecture and process excellence.
• IT optimization experience is a must, including foundational IT governance (e.g., budgetary, project management, business-aligned IT demand management, strategic supplier relationships, etc.).
• An outstanding people leader, capable of attracting, developing, and retaining IT talent and building a performance-driven culture.
• Strong executive-level influencing skills with a high level of energy, integrity, and dedication; deep experience partnering with business leaders at all levels to ensure transformation efforts are fully adopted by the organization; comfortable with ambiguity and with the ability to adapt nimbly and lead through complexity.
• Business-minded leader focused on growth, efficiency, scalability, and customer experience.
• Proven ability to implement practical, ROI-driven AI across core business operations.
• Pragmatic, execution-oriented leader who can balance strategy with operational delivery.
• Excellent written and oral communicator, with strong emotional intelligence and an ability to connect with non-technical peers clearly and persuasively; exemplary storytelling skills.
