Full Job Description

We're looking for someone equal parts strategist, operator, and builder.

As a strategist, you can size a new market, understand its economics cold (ROIC, P&Ls, TAM, paybacks), and turn messy data into a clear recommendation on where we go next and how we deploy there. As an operator, you can build a launch plan from scratch, rally teams across the business around it, and spot when something is going off track before it becomes a problem.

And as a builder, you do all of this in an AI-native way. You build creative tools and systems that give a small team a ton of leverage, instead of relying on decks, trackers, and manual analysis.

One day you might be building the case for our next country. The next, you might be running a live launch, or building an AI-native system that makes the next ten launches faster and smoother. You'll work across nearly every function at Blank Street and alongside senior leadership, with a unique opportunity to shape where we go, how we get there, and what Blank Street looks like around the world.

Who You Are
  • Data and finance savvy. ROIC, P&Ls, TAM, and unit economics are second nature. You have 2-4 years in a data-heavy, high-performance environment such as consulting, banking, PE, or BizOps/strategy at a high-growth company, or you've founded something.
  • An AI beast. You've built tools, automations, agents, or dashboards that replaced real manual work, and you're constantly spotting new ways AI can create leverage. Your first instinct is to build a system, not open PowerPoint. But when a deck is the right answer, you can build a great one insanely fast.
  • Insightful, with sharp judgment. You find the signal in messy data and turn it into clear, confident recommendations.
  • Extremely organized. You drive dozens of moving pieces toward one outcome and never drop the ball.
  • A great communicator. Your writing is crisp and executive-ready, and you build trust across functions and levels.
  • High ownership, low ego. You're energized by building from scratch and willing to travel as new markets require.

What You'll Own
Bring New Markets to Life
  • Drive new market launches from kickoff through ramp, coordinating everything required to successfully open a new city or country
  • Bring together Real Estate, Design, Ops, People, Supply Chain, Marketing, Finance, and Product around one clear launch plan
  • Own the critical path, surface risks early, and drive decisions when things get off track. Build AI-powered PM systems so owners, milestones, and risks are tracked without manual follow-up.
  • Parachute into the hardest launch problems and jump in to help resolve them
  • Stay close to newly launched markets, using performance data and on-the-ground learnings to help them ramp successfully
  • Turn every launch into a better, more templatized playbook for the next one, so each market opens faster and more predictably than the last.
Shape Where We Go Next
  • Help identify Blank Street's next cities and countries, assessing markets through consumer, competitive, real estate, financial, and operational data
  • Build the business cases behind our biggest expansion decisions, leveraging AI tools
  • Help determine where we invest, when we launch, and how we enter
  • Translate what we learn on the ground into a smarter global expansion strategy
  • Work directly with senior leadership on expansion priorities and help shape materials that go to our Board
Requirements
  • $150,000 - $165,000 annual salary
    • Blank Street, in good faith, believes that the posted salary range is accurate for this role in New York City at the time of posting. Our salary ranges are rooted in the desire to pay competitively relative to our organization size and industry, reflecting just one part of the total compensation package. Blank Street may pay more or less than the posted range based on factors such as relevant experience and skills, qualifications and location, among others. This range may be modified in the future.
  • Equity package
  • 15 days of paid annual leave (on top of company-observed holidays and sick time)
  • Three health plan options, with full coverage available for two employee-only tiers
  • Commuter benefits
  • Parental leave
  • Bereavement leave
  • Exclusive access to our coveted Regulars program - yes, that means free coffee, matcha and more!
  • Regular social outings with the team
  • Free Blank Street swag
