Global Controller is responsible for managing the Accounting, Accounts Receivable, and Accounts Payable teams in the US, EMEA, and India, ensuring the maintenance of robust financial controls and driving continuous process improvements. This position requires a strategic thinker with a strong understanding of financial accounting, compliance and the ability to collaborate effectively cross-functionally and regionally to support the global business needs.
This position reports to the Chief Financial Officer and is part of the Finance Department located in
Torrance, CA, and will be an
on-site role.
In this role, you will have the opportunity to:- Oversee global reporting and consolidations, ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting as well as ensuring compliance with accounting principles, policies, and procedures.
- Support CFO in analytics reporting and business support needs.
- Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing accounting team, fostering a collaborative and inclusive team culture. Advocate and champion continuous improvement within the functional area as well as throughout the organization.
- Maintain and enhance a strong SOX control environment and ensure compliance activities for local and management reporting; lead and support SOX, Internal Audit, and other compliance-related deliverables.
- Work closely with the FP&A and Cost Accounting teams to provide accurate financial data and insights to support budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning activities.
- Partner closely with IT for systems enhancements and application integrations
- Ensure the seamless integration of back-office activities generated from "bolt-on" acquisitions.
The essential requirements of the job include:- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related business field with 14+ years experience OR Master's/Doctoral Degree with 12+ years experience AND related experience includes 4+ years managing people.
- Strong technical Accounting skills and experience with ensuring strong financial controls
- Strong ERP systems experience
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Experience working in a global environment with some knowledge of non-US regulations.
Travel, Motor Vehicle Record & Physical/Environment Requirements:- Ability to travel - 20% travel, overnight, within territory or locations
- Must have a valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record
It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:- CPA is preferred
- Experience with Microsoft Dynamics D365 or Hyperion Enterprise systems.
- Experience in a large-multinational or publicly traded organization with manufacturing operations.

The annual salary range for this role is $160,000 - $220,000. This is the range that we in good faith believe is the range of possible compensation for this role at the time of this posting. This range may be modified in the future.
This job is also eligible for bonus/incentive pay.
