Full Job Description
This individual will lead coverage of institutional investment consultants across the West Coast region, with shared responsibility for select global consulting firms. The successful candidate will be someone a consultant will trust - a professional who leads with a client-first mindset and thrives in a collaborative, accountable culture. The candidate will drive asset growth and retention by effectively positioning Nuveen's broad investment capabilities and delivering strategic partnership value to consultants and their clients.

Key responsibilities will include:
  • Develop and manage strategic relationships with investment consultants, client consultants, and independent advisors across key markets to identify opportunities and manage business risk, with the goal of increasing and retaining AUM across Nuveen affiliates.
  • Deliver clear, consistent communication of Nuveen's investment strategies and performance, ensuring a high level of product fluency and market insight.
  • Drive buy ratings and mandates across Nuveen's investment capabilities, in collaboration with regional distribution and investment teams.
  • Respond promptly to consultant requests, including recurring service needs, data inquiries, and Requests for Proposals (RFPs), in partnership with the RFP and investment teams.
  • Monitor and analyze consultant research and public search activity, identifying relevant opportunities for Nuveen capabilities.
  • Work with compliance, legal, product, and operational teams to ensure a seamless onboarding experience for consultant-influenced client relationships.
  • Prepare strategic and management reporting on consultant activity, business development opportunities, and relationship health.
  • Support special projects and strategic initiatives related to consultant segmentation, new product rollouts, and global distribution efforts.
  • Maintain up-to-date records and activity logs through Nuveen's CRM systems.


Technical Skills & Qualifications Required:
  • Knowledge and understanding of financial markets and investment products across the range of alternative and traditional strategies.
  • Strong network and understanding of the relevant consultant landscape; experience working with major global and regional consultant firms is essential.
  • Commercially focused, with a proven track record of influencing consultant recommendations and securing buy ratings.
  • Experience with Alternative products - specifically Private Credit, Real Estate, and Infrastructure.
  • Excellent analytical skills with the ability to articulate complex investment strategies.
  • Ability to develop strong client and consultant relationships and an in-depth understanding of client and consultant needs.
  • Sound time management skills and ability to manage multiple deadlines independently.
  • Ability to work independently as well as in a team.
  • IMC or CFA level 1 qualification

Base Pay Range: $172,000/yr - $250,000/yr

Actual base salary may vary based upon, but not limited to, relevant experience, time in role, base salary of internal peers, prior performance, business sector, and geographic location. In addition to base salary, the competitive compensation package may include, depending on the role, participation in an incentive program linked to performance (for example, annual discretionary incentive programs, non-annual sales incentive plans, or other non-annual incentive plans).
