The Tax Analyst reviews and assists in the preparation of individual and trust tax returns. Working under general supervision, this job assists in the completion of individual tax returns (1040), trust tax returns (1041), informational returns, withholding forms and other tax compliance forms. This job provides clear and well-organized documentation including detailed calculations and analysis, and prepares and maintains procedural and technical documentation.
Key Responsibilities and Duties- Prepares tax reporting in a timely fashion and in accordance to tax code and laws and the organization's tax preparation policies and practices.
- Reviews data from trust accounting platform for errors and omissions.
- Assists in tax setup processes for new clients and new trusts, including entering prior trustee transactions.
- Gathers tax documentation to assist in the preparation of tax returns.
- Calculates and monitors estimated tax payments and foreign and state withholding.
- Works with assigned clients to assist to gather necessary information in order to complete their tax returns while coordinating with the outside tax preparation vendor.
Educational Requirements- University (Degree) Preferred
Work Experience- 2+ Years Required; 3+ Years Preferred

Base Pay Range: $70,000/yr - $94,600/yr
Actual base salary may vary based upon, but not limited to, relevant experience, time in role, base salary of internal peers, prior performance, business sector, and geographic location.
